HeatherCollins Verified Member Posted October 7, 2015 Posted October 7, 2015 Who gets the honours after 22 years of futility? I am predicting an Anne Murray or Gordon Lightfoot gig, with an outside Russell Martin's dad chance. For the pitch, my guess is Robbie or Joe.
Candide Verified Member Posted October 7, 2015 Posted October 7, 2015 I'm hoping anthem is by Drake and first pitch by Avril Lavigne.
Deadpool Old-Timey Member Posted October 7, 2015 Posted October 7, 2015 I'm hoping anthem is by Drake and first pitch by Avril Lavigne. For awkwardness, Anthem by members from both Sum 41 and Nickleback, first pitch by Avril. Get the show started early!
HeatherCollins Verified Member Posted October 7, 2015 Author Posted October 7, 2015 For awkwardness, Anthem by members from both Sum 41 and Nickleback, first pitch by Avril. Get the show started early! Seriously. Does anyone know who is doing the anthem and pitch?
Candide Verified Member Posted October 7, 2015 Posted October 7, 2015 let the cat out of the bag - it's you, isn't it, Heather Collins?
Sammy225 Old-Timey Member Posted October 7, 2015 Posted October 7, 2015 I would like to see Doc or Carlos Delgado throw out the first pitch..... 2 of the all time greats that never got to the postseason with the Jays. Anthem sang by Bubbles (or liquor and whores) what ever he sees fit.
TheHurl Site Manager Posted October 7, 2015 Posted October 7, 2015 The first pitch people were named I think. My Dad read that Carter, Halladay, some politician were slated. Mind you my Dad is senile.
dineke Old-Timey Member Posted October 7, 2015 Posted October 7, 2015 For awkwardness, Anthem by members from both Sum 41 and Nickleback, first pitch by Avril. Get the show started early! Members of Sum 41 and Nickleback first pitch, Avril catching.
dineke Old-Timey Member Posted October 7, 2015 Posted October 7, 2015 Why hasn't Halladay done w/e Bartolo Colon did and come back to the Jays yet?
HeatherCollins Verified Member Posted October 7, 2015 Author Posted October 7, 2015 let the cat out of the bag - it's you, isn't it, Heather Collins? This is my first anthem, and am a bit nervous. I'm only 16 years old.
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted October 7, 2015 Posted October 7, 2015 Is 3:30 ceremony and anthem time, or first pitch time??
ValiantJaysFan Verified Member Posted October 7, 2015 Posted October 7, 2015 Guessing Alomar or Carter first pitch, would love to see Halladay though. Maybe Rush will do the anthem since Geddy will likely be there anyway.
ValiantJaysFan Verified Member Posted October 7, 2015 Posted October 7, 2015 Is 3:30 ceremony and anthem time, or first pitch time?? 3:37 is first pitch

Anthem sang by Bubbles (or liquor and whores) what ever he sees fit. I'd support all of this.
Sammy225 Old-Timey Member Posted October 7, 2015 Posted October 7, 2015 Why hasn't Halladay done w/e Bartolo Colon did and come back to the Jays yet? Get fat?
TheHurl Site Manager Posted October 7, 2015 Posted October 7, 2015 and ignore what I said. I'm betting my Dad read this as he is a Star reader. http://www.thestar.com/sports/bluejays/2015/10/02/who-should-throw-out-first-pitch-at-first-blue-jays-playoff-game.html

BigCecil Old-Timey Member Posted October 7, 2015 Posted October 7, 2015 Get fat? He isn't fat...he is "big boned" and "full figured".
Inklink Old-Timey Member Posted October 7, 2015 Posted October 7, 2015 (edited) He isn't fat...he is "big boned" and "full figured". Gifted in diameter. Or circumference might work better. Edited October 7, 2015 by Inklink
Jonn Old-Timey Member Posted October 7, 2015 Posted October 7, 2015 Well whoever it is they have an important job of stalling as long as possible.
L54 Old-Timey Member Posted October 7, 2015 Posted October 7, 2015 Halladay is the guy I want to throw the first pitch the most. Would be so fitting.
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted October 7, 2015 Posted October 7, 2015 For awkwardness, Anthem by members from both Sum 41 and Nickleback, first pitch by Avril. Get the show started early! lol
HeatherCollins Verified Member Posted October 7, 2015 Author Posted October 7, 2015 Did I do a good job on my first thread? I think I should get to do the GDT because I am hot.
Grant77 Old-Timey Member Posted October 7, 2015 Posted October 7, 2015 Get fat? Colon got stem cell treatment and the results are miraculous. There will be a renaissance in baseball medicine once the stigma is reduced.
West Texas Forever Old-Timey Member Posted October 7, 2015 Posted October 7, 2015 I hope Drake and The Weeknd play.
scagneti Verified Member Posted October 7, 2015 Posted October 7, 2015 Wouldn't want to see him sing, but wouldn't mind seeing MB either toss out the first pitch, or, as was tradition, have him catch it. Would be nice to be able to stand up and clap for the man. Want him to have better memories of the Jays than his last start.
BigCecil Old-Timey Member Posted October 7, 2015 Posted October 7, 2015 Well whoever it is they have an important job of stalling as long as possible. Sometimes you are pretty funny.
Sammy225 Old-Timey Member Posted October 7, 2015 Posted October 7, 2015 Darren O'Day for first pitch. Wouldn't work Jose from the bench would likely hit a dinger off him then flip his bat and then be criticized for it.
Jonn Old-Timey Member Posted October 7, 2015 Posted October 7, 2015 Sometimes you are pretty funny. I have my moments. Speaking of O'Day that would be a nice guy to pick up. His incentive would be he doesn't have to face Bautista anymore.
Deadpool Old-Timey Member Posted October 7, 2015 Posted October 7, 2015 Did I do a good job on my first thread? I think I should get to do the GDT because I am hot. You'll have to try harder than that, Chris Hanson.
