jaysguy44 Old-Timey Member Posted August 28, 2019 Posted August 28, 2019 6 scoreless innings for Kay. His FB has hit 96 MPH a few times tonight.

Given that Zeuch and Kay have to be added to the 40-man in the offseason anyways, I'd love to see them up in September and see what they can do. I can't imagine they hold them down for lack of 40-man spots.
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted August 28, 2019 Posted August 28, 2019 6 scoreless innings for kay. His fb has hit 96 mph a few times tonight. 6 IP 4 K 1 BB 3 H 0 R Step in the right direction, nice to see him limit the walks.
glory Old-Timey Member Posted August 28, 2019 Posted August 28, 2019 Wow, Kay has completely turned things around since joining Buffalo. With the Mets he had gopheritis with an average K rate, but now he's not giving up any HR's, striking batters out at a good clip, and giving up too many walks (but improving each start). Very positive signs.
jaysguy44 Old-Timey Member Posted August 28, 2019 Posted August 28, 2019 Anthony Kay’s final line tonight: 6.2 IP, 5 H, 0 R, 2 BB, 5 K, 94 pitches, 61 strikes.
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted August 28, 2019 Posted August 28, 2019 I don't care if his captions are dumb. Ryan Di Francesco is the real MVP with all of these videos of our minor league pitchers.

Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted August 28, 2019 Posted August 28, 2019 That splitter is a serious problem for hitters.
Krylian Old-Timey Member Posted August 28, 2019 Author Posted August 28, 2019 That splitter is a serious problem for hitters. If he can ever throw enough strikes to set it up, ya.
Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted August 28, 2019 Posted August 28, 2019 Perez might be a decent reliever a la Hector Neris.
Laika Community Moderator Posted August 28, 2019 Posted August 28, 2019 Yeah that looks like some solid relief stuff. Or opener stuff!
Ray Verified Member Posted August 28, 2019 Posted August 28, 2019 Who would you guys rank as your Top 10 prospects when Bo graduates? 1. Nate Pearson (SP) 2. Jordan Groshans (SS) 3. Simeon Woods Richardson (SP) 4. Eric Pardinho (SP) 5. Anthony Kay (SP) 6. Alek Manoah (SP) 7. Gabriel Moreno © 8. Adam Kloffenstein (SP) 9. Orelvis Martinez (SS) 10. Alejandro Kirk © You could make a case that each of those guys are either Top 100 guys or have the ability to be this time next year. 11-20 would probably consist of Zeuch, Murphy, Kendall Williams, Kevin Smith, Yennsy Diaz, Alford, Winckowski, Murray etc in no particular order. I'm liking how the farm system stands despite that fact that Vlad, Danny Jansen, Biggio, Thornton, and soon Bo will graduate.
glory Old-Timey Member Posted August 28, 2019 Posted August 28, 2019 1. Pearson 2. Groshans 3. SWR 4. Manoah 5. Martinez 6. Moreno 7. Pardinho 8. Kay 9. Kirk 10. Kloff
