This is the MiLB/Prospects thread, dude?

 

I know it just comes off as very random. Not a huge deal either way but i think what you're trying to do would be more effective over there.

The walk rate is sick, but maybe he could be a Jack Cust?

 

Lets get back re Noda in June when he has 250AB in Dunedin so we have an idea of what he might be...

 

Having seen Cust when he was in the rookie level pioneer league, he was a monster. He busted windows in 4 houses that season on home runs.

Luis Garcia, top 10 MLB prospect soon?

Gavin Lux seems extremely likely to have a decent MLB outcome. So many excellent prospects were taken right before Zeuch in 2016 - Kiriloff (15), Whitley (17), Rutherford (18), Justin Dunn (19), Lux (20)

 

So many excellent prospects taken after as well: Kieboom (28), Hudson (34), Trammell (35), Jones (55), Alonso (64). Oh well, if Zeuch makes it as a no. 5 starter it is still a success.

Not too long ago I thought Lux was absolute shite until I saw his numbers this past year.

Where is Lux now on most Top 100 lists? He tore up A/AA last year.

 

This could look bad in a month when all the lists are out, but my guess would be somewhere in the 61-80 range. That being said, it wouldn't surprise me to see him just miss on a list or two.

1st round pick, who's a middle infielder coming off a .324 avg, 147 wRC+ season might miss some Top 100 lists? That's nuts. Low K%, high BB%. I guess he'll be 22 this year, and was s*** in 2017. Otherwise, there's a lot to love about him.

He has been viewed as a very boring prospect since the draft. MLB.com put him on their end of the year top 100 though so I doubt he misses any legit lists. I could see somewhere like BP leaving him off in favour of 47 nineteen year olds though.

Chavez is right now the best center fielder the jays have.

Been can also back it up. If all go's right Young should be in the top 15.

I have a question regarding the Vlad situation. Say he starts the year with the big club. If he was to get injured say three years from now, come back and do a rehab stint in the minors, would that push his service time so that we would get the extra year of control. If you kept him down long enough? Just a hypothetical I've been thinking about and didn't know the answer to.
