JaysAllMighty Old-Timey Member Posted October 10, 2015 Posted October 10, 2015 Baseball is a game of inches, hopefully the Baseball Gods will be on our side for the rest of this series and give us those inches. I can't stand the fake fans dumping on our Jays right now. They done well this year, they won our division. Every long time baseball fan knows that anything can happen in the playoffs, no matter how good your team is. Just cross your fingers and hope we can win the rest of the games.... we have the weapons to do it. Now, quit s***ing on our team.
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted October 10, 2015 Posted October 10, 2015 Regardless of who starts it, I'd be thrilled just to have a game 4! Oh... it's happening!!

intentional wok Old-Timey Member Posted October 12, 2015 Posted October 12, 2015 Kind of wish Tulo would go back to leading off.

Grant77 Old-Timey Member Posted October 12, 2015 Posted October 12, 2015 Just in, Adrian Beltre is NOT in the lineup again today.

500LevelSTH Verified Member Posted October 12, 2015 Posted October 12, 2015 interesting idea. I love Tulo, but he said he is clearly still battling the injury. Did you see the post game interview treatment stuff he had on? Looked like Quasi Moto. Revere is hitting .270 against LHP. He will be ok. We will be seeing some of their RHP tonight. Noticed that to about Tulo. Its an electro muscle stimulation, supoosed to help muscle recovery and repair. Iced up as well get the imflammation down. Hes a warrior, happy he found his way at the plate, super huge
AdamGreenwood Old-Timey Member Posted October 13, 2015 Posted October 13, 2015 I don't think they give out an MVP for the ALDS, but if they did, who would be your pick? I think I'd have to go with Pillar at this point. The only pitchers to do well were Dickey and Estrada, but each only had one start. No one has really stood out with the bats, but Colabello, Donaldson and Pillar are probably the top three. But Pillar should probably get it based on his defense. He has been phenomenal out there. I don't expect too many people expected him to turn into a GG centerfielder. I think most of us thought he was unlikely to handle CF at all.

HERPDERP Old-Timey Member Posted October 13, 2015 Posted October 13, 2015 With Hamels going on the mound tomorrow, and with Goins in a post season slump and a 0-4 with 1K performance against him on Friday, do you think Goins will be swapped out with Pennington?

Hope not. We shouldn't need offense at every pos and ill take the glove over Penny's poor bat. Having said that I wouldn't hesitate to pinch hit Goins one second in key situation.

Trouba95 Old-Timey Member Posted October 13, 2015 Posted October 13, 2015 Really too bad we added Barney late

He isn't as good of a hitter as he showed that last few weeks but he isn't as bad as the last 4 games either. When he was swinging it ok against LHP he was being very selective and staying short punching balls into LF. Lets hope he can do that against Hamels a time or two. When you get those kinds of contributions from Pillar and Goins this line is unstoppable.
Jellz Verified Member Posted October 13, 2015 Posted October 13, 2015 I thought Penny's splits as a RHH weren't very good anyway. He seemed to get most of his hits batting LH

He seemed to get most of his hits batting LH http://www.fangraphs.com/statsplits.aspx?playerid=3395&position=SS&season=0 Yup, he sucks at the plate both sides....but sucks more hitting RH. We net lose starting him against Hamels.

No chance. Not with Stroman's gb tendencies.
mellowgold Verified Member Posted October 13, 2015 Posted October 13, 2015 Serious question: If Stroman dominates tomorrow and this series goes the distance, who pitches game 5? Price on five days rest or Stroman on regular rest? I would probably have to give the ball to Marcus. Price has been very average over his last three starts and Stroman just seems to be getting better and better. Looks like Gibby/Walker/AA are the only ones who agreed with me!

BigCecil Old-Timey Member Posted October 14, 2015 Posted October 14, 2015 Incredibly Loup may not be available tomorrow. Family medical issue. To think we face that LHH line up just seems surreal. Price will be up if needed. What a shame about Cecil. Just terrible luck.
