Dylan Old-Timey Member Posted October 4, 2015 Posted October 4, 2015 ..checking in on the score, I think I'll continue to miss this one lol See you all in game one!
TilsonBritoFan Verified Member Posted October 4, 2015 Posted October 4, 2015 if you ya don't wanna watch, no one is keeping you here. I'd stay for the entire night for a jays come back. Uh oh...u getting the ban hammer out?
Baseball Player Verified Member Posted October 4, 2015 Posted October 4, 2015 The only game regulars should of been rested was the 2nd game of the double header.
Effit Old-Timey Member Posted October 4, 2015 Posted October 4, 2015 The only way it would be more meaningless is if it were the last game of spring training. lol ok
dineke Old-Timey Member Posted October 4, 2015 Posted October 4, 2015 We lost 4 of the last 5 games of the season, 3 of them without care because they were apparently meaningless. I personally would have preferred winning 4 of the last 5 going riding momentum in to the post season. Oh well, we're new to this. momentum is bs
Governator Community Moderator Posted October 4, 2015 Posted October 4, 2015 The only way it would be more meaningless is if it were the last game of spring training. That is the dumbest statement of the year. This game wasn't meaningless.
bronson44 Verified Member Posted October 4, 2015 Posted October 4, 2015 Ump was fine, MB pitched like s***. None of the balls u guys are whining about were in the zone according to pitch tracker. jesus christ the point is some were very borderline. If the ump had any class he'd give them to a guy trying to gut out 2 innings to finish his career with a milestone
art_vandelay275 Verified Member Posted October 4, 2015 Posted October 4, 2015 we may not come back to win this guy but i guarantee you the boys will put together good ABs and fight to the end...
LGBJ29 Verified Member Posted October 4, 2015 Posted October 4, 2015 Its 3-0 KC and people are crying as if a win would have sealed it for us. Relax
Slade Old-Timey Member Posted October 4, 2015 Posted October 4, 2015 I was so pumped up for this game, this is so deflating.
dineke Old-Timey Member Posted October 4, 2015 Posted October 4, 2015 why is there always a guy saying "here here here" at tropicana. Everything about the rays is annoying
JFD Old-Timey Member Posted October 4, 2015 Posted October 4, 2015 well at least Price and Stroman will be well rested, hopefully not rusted.
Baseball Player Verified Member Posted October 4, 2015 Posted October 4, 2015 The only way it would be more meaningless is if it were the last game of spring training. Mods■
thatoneguy Old-Timey Member Posted October 4, 2015 Posted October 4, 2015 jesus christ the point is some were very borderline. If the ump had any class he'd give them to a guy trying to gut out 2 innings to finish his career with a milestone I think the dumber thing was when he wouldn't even check with the 1B ump when Martin requested the check swing. That was a total joke.
intentional wok Old-Timey Member Posted October 4, 2015 Posted October 4, 2015 This game isn't meaningless, but the decision makers treated it like it was.
JaysAllMighty Old-Timey Member Posted October 4, 2015 Posted October 4, 2015 That is the dumbest statement of the year. This game wasn't meaningless. It was IF KC won their game. Like I said, KC have hfa won't matter, we will beat them in less then 7 games anyways.
EMK19 Verified Member Posted October 4, 2015 Posted October 4, 2015 One can argue ump kept up his professionalism despite all the sentiments going into this start by MB, but he'll likely hear about it from many people post game regardless. I'm actually surprised Gibby didn't go out there to jaw at him to get tossed there.
TilsonBritoFan Verified Member Posted October 4, 2015 Posted October 4, 2015 jesus christ the point is some were very borderline. If the ump had any class he'd give them to a guy trying to gut out 2 innings to finish his career with a milestone I agree that yes it would have been nice...but he was all over the place and the ump is not obligated to ring up players on balls out of the zone.
EMK19 Verified Member Posted October 4, 2015 Posted October 4, 2015 5-0 kc Well, this makes me feel a lot better at least knowing that it probably wouldn't have mattered. Thinking about it, not a great way for Torii Hunter to go out either, I think he said he's likely finished after this year as well.
NJay Verified Member Posted October 4, 2015 Posted October 4, 2015 Hoping that this disaster ends today and doesn't carry over into the playoffs
TilsonBritoFan Verified Member Posted October 4, 2015 Posted October 4, 2015 I think the dumber thing was when he wouldn't even check with the 1B ump when Martin requested the check swing. That was a total joke. Agreed, that was bush. Dick move.
art_vandelay275 Verified Member Posted October 4, 2015 Posted October 4, 2015 i feel bad first for Papa and then Goins and EE; they are probably suffering right now As for Gibby, I don't give a f***
glory Old-Timey Member Posted October 4, 2015 Posted October 4, 2015 So we rag on the umps all the time, but now the ump should have called balls into strikes because Buehrle was pitching? Come on. I like Buehrle and wanted him to get 200 innings, but he was on 1 days rest after throwing 100 pitches on Friday. He clearly didn't have anything. Blame the decision makers for starting him in this situation, not the ump. Umpires will always be s***.
Slade Old-Timey Member Posted October 4, 2015 Posted October 4, 2015 Well KC putting a beating on the twins so I guess we never had a chance.
Effit Old-Timey Member Posted October 4, 2015 Posted October 4, 2015 Its 3-0 KC and people are crying as if a win would have sealed it for us. Relax It's not only about KC, most of us wanted better for Buehrle. To say it was meaningless is silly, it was an important game in more ways than one.
JaysAllMighty Old-Timey Member Posted October 4, 2015 Posted October 4, 2015 I agree that yes it would have been nice...but he was all over the place and the ump is not obligated to ring up players on balls out of the zone. Exactly.
CJ-Freeway Old-Timey Member Posted October 4, 2015 Posted October 4, 2015 Damn, I feel bad for Marky. Horrible way to end a career.
Governator Community Moderator Posted October 4, 2015 Posted October 4, 2015 It was IF KC won their game. Like I said, KC have hfa won't matter, we will beat them in less then 7 games anyways. I would have rather have played a WC team in ALDS which is arguably more benicial than HFA.
vdubmvp Old-Timey Member Posted October 4, 2015 Posted October 4, 2015 jesus christ the point is some were very borderline. If the ump had any class he'd give them to a guy trying to gut out 2 innings to finish his career with a milestone Yeah, literally no one (except maybe Tabler) was asking for completely absurd calls in his favour, but several were super borderline and could have gone either way, and he chose to give him none of them. It's just frustrating when we had s***** defence to go along with it, and we obviously all just really wanted this for Buehrle.
