We lost 4 of the last 5 games of the season, 3 of them without care because they were apparently meaningless.

 

I personally would have preferred winning 4 of the last 5 going riding momentum in to the post season. Oh well, we're new to this.

One can argue ump kept up his professionalism despite all the sentiments going into this start by MB, but he'll likely hear about it from many people post game regardless. I'm actually surprised Gibby didn't go out there to jaw at him to get tossed there.

So we rag on the umps all the time, but now the ump should have called balls into strikes because Buehrle was pitching?

 

Come on. I like Buehrle and wanted him to get 200 innings, but he was on 1 days rest after throwing 100 pitches on Friday. He clearly didn't have anything. Blame the decision makers for starting him in this situation, not the ump.

It's not only about KC, most of us wanted better for Buehrle. To say it was meaningless is silly, it was an important game in more ways than one.

Yeah, literally no one (except maybe Tabler) was asking for completely absurd calls in his favour, but several were super borderline and could have gone either way, and he chose to give him none of them. It's just frustrating when we had s***** defence to go along with it, and we obviously all just really wanted this for Buehrle.
