Yes there have been threads on MLB.tv and all that.

It's getting to the point where I'm close to just coughing up the cash and getting Rogers TV for a month or whatever just to be able to watch post season Blue Jays.

Finding details on what's available and what coverage there is through MLB.tv's "Postseason.tv" with their "Alternate camera angles" or whatever.

They say that US and Canada get f***ed due to whatever network arrangements there are here but Canada's supposed to be blacked out of all regular season Jays games too and that hasn't been the case for a year or two.

Does Canada get the shaft for postseason.tv coverage? Is there a good work-around to get full coverage postseason.tv here? Any experiences with proxies to this effect?

I'd really like to just get the Postseason.tv coverage and watch everything but I'm willing to swallow a big Rogers load to watch the first Blue Jays post season games since I was a young kid.

I used MLB.tv for all of last year's postseason and never had a problem. I don't think there should be a issue seeing Jays playoff games...I think all that Canadian licensing nonsense has been taken care of.

That's good to know. I have digital antenna so I will get FOX broadcasts, but was curious about MLB.TV for playoffs. Not sure how much FOX broadcasts and how much they offload to other networks.

I think MLB.TV will be issue free for Canadian customers this postseason

However i wouldn't say that licensing and blackout issues have been taken care of in the long term. Rogers for whatever reason has chosen not to enforce online blackouts, they can change their mind at any time without informing people who have already paid for MLB.TV.

I have a bad feeling that they'll soon(maybe next year) choose to enforce their blackout rights on MLB.TV and instead start ramp up the marketing efforts for their own online streaming platform that exists if you have a Rogers subscription.

I believe I read last year that MLB and Rogers came to a financial agreement that allowed Jays games to be shown on MLB.tv throughout Canada...

I could be mistaken though.

hmm, i haven't heard of that. I'm suspicious though, what would Rogers get out of it? A share of the MLB.TV revenue from Canadian subscribers? And would MLB even go for that, they'd have to give up a lot of money to make it worthwhile for Rogers.

I think it had something to do with Rogers being given exclusive broadcast rights to the MLB Network in Canada. There was some kind of digital tie-in deal with that.
