L54 Old-Timey Member Posted September 20, 2015 Posted September 20, 2015 It was a fairly routine play 1 hop right to the catcher....it is done all the time in low level ball....maybe you suck or never played? Lol Nope, didn't play.
BTS Community Moderator Posted September 20, 2015 Posted September 20, 2015 lol @ Boston's late inning shitbags

L54 Old-Timey Member Posted September 20, 2015 Posted September 20, 2015 Most outfielders try the one hop to the catcher, a one hop catch for a pro catcher is not a hard play lol. Take your own advice and learn beisbol. You are not going to get lazers without a hop right to the catcher very often at all, it;'s why the one hop is a safe easier play. Nobody is arguing against the one hop, it's the length of that hop that is the issue for the receiver. Whether that's the catcher, third baseman or second baseman. Every single one of those players will prefer that hop to have some length to it, as opposed to bouncing right in front of them, essentially handcuffing themselves defensively. It's not very hard to understand.

Trouba95 Old-Timey Member Posted September 20, 2015 Posted September 20, 2015 Smoak at the dish again...same scenario as last night
L54 Old-Timey Member Posted September 20, 2015 Posted September 20, 2015 It's pretty sad, you'd expect someone who spends 95% of their time trolling a baseball message board to at least have some idea of how the game works. Nope, still an idiot. I love how you had to have played baseball to understand how these things work, even though I can imagine how successful of a player he was.
