Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted September 20, 2015 Posted September 20, 2015 Oh, I see this thread has turned into the metallijay garbage section.
thatoneguy Old-Timey Member Posted September 20, 2015 Posted September 20, 2015 The Blue Jay pullers, you get them out with soft pitching and the outside corner Not every pitcher can consistently throw good breaking balls like Hill did today.
Followthelight Verified Member Posted September 20, 2015 Posted September 20, 2015 100% of them can. The issue is the length of the one hop. There are many intricacies within this game of baseball, some of them obviously are too advance for you to understand. That's okay, you can teach JB how to hit this offseason. That was a makeable play for any MLB catcher..... it was not a hard play at all. That's Ok you can learn how to not be dumb the offseason.
burlingtonbandit Old-Timey Member Posted September 20, 2015 Posted September 20, 2015 Trying to pull soft stuff away again.....surprise. Swinging at a pitchers pitch 3-1 count...ugh I think you should become a Hitting coach. You have so much knowledge you'd be able to teach MLB hitters!
Trouba95 Old-Timey Member Posted September 20, 2015 Posted September 20, 2015 Yesterday sucked more than today.
EMK19 Verified Member Posted September 20, 2015 Posted September 20, 2015 Well it looks like this game is done. 6-7-8 hitters. Hope I'm wrong but don't see it happening I'm guessing Smoak pinch hits for one of Goins or Barney next inning. Gibby will prob play it to tie or win it on a homer...
Followthelight Verified Member Posted September 20, 2015 Posted September 20, 2015 Could have swept the sox with some basic execution...now the yanks have a chance to be within 2.5. No way we win this nor do they deserve it.
L54 Old-Timey Member Posted September 20, 2015 Posted September 20, 2015 The throw was pretty bad tbh, just because it was on-line does not automatically make it a good one. Not many catchers make that play and those that do likely got lucky. Yup. He really didn't give Navarro much of a chance to apply a tag. I'd rather see two hops that allows Navarro a chance than to short hop him like that. I'm sure it's something he was aware of right away.
Professional Hitter Verified Member Posted September 20, 2015 Posted September 20, 2015 should cola still be playing first gibbons?
thatoneguy Old-Timey Member Posted September 20, 2015 Posted September 20, 2015 I mean to put Hawkins in who has been struggling, hurt, and hasn't pitched in a week in a one run game is f***ing horrendous. Uh, who else are you going to put in at this point?
el duque Verified Member Posted September 20, 2015 Posted September 20, 2015 Not every pitcher can consistently throw good breaking balls like Hill did today. they have been pulling all the time and in every game, I guess they will see more of that kind of pitching in the playoffs
rydermike Verified Member Posted September 20, 2015 Posted September 20, 2015 Navarro base hit, KAwasaki runs Martin Walk-off
Atothe Old-Timey Member Posted September 20, 2015 Posted September 20, 2015 Jays should be winning but sloppy terrible defense smh
BigCecil Old-Timey Member Posted September 20, 2015 Posted September 20, 2015 This is a one run game and isn't over. I just don't get all these guys calling it over since the top of the 8th.

That's Ok you can learn how to not be dumb the offseason. Nope, you're wrong. Every single baseball coach above high school will tell you the same thing. It's okay MJ, good to see you're cementing your position as one of the worst and most uninformed posters on the forum.
el duque Verified Member Posted September 20, 2015 Posted September 20, 2015 Navarro base hit, KAwasaki runs Martin Walk-off God is listening
Followthelight Verified Member Posted September 20, 2015 Posted September 20, 2015 I think you should become a Hitting coach. You have so much knowledge you'd be able to teach MLB hitters! I know, you should be too though you were telling guys how to hit the other GDT, hypocrites FTW.
rydermike Verified Member Posted September 20, 2015 Posted September 20, 2015 This is a one run game and isn't over. I just don't get all these guys calling it over since the top of the 8th. Game is over after 8 innings. Remember yesterday, Jays won right, the fans all left
burlingtonbandit Old-Timey Member Posted September 20, 2015 Posted September 20, 2015 So who's left to PH? Martin for Goins?
EMK19 Verified Member Posted September 20, 2015 Posted September 20, 2015 With Ross Jr. Closing I'm guessing we see Martin for Navarro then Smoak for Barney as PH next inning. Hey, at least Hawk had a good inning, that's prob his best inning as a Jay thus far.

It's okay MJ, good to see you're cementing your position as one of the worst and most uninformed posters on the forum. It was a fairly routine play 1 hop right to the catcher....it is done all the time in low level ball....maybe you suck or never played?
Daniel Labude Jays Centre Contributor Posted September 20, 2015 Posted September 20, 2015 Gotta have this. Come on Blue Jays!!!!!!!
burlingtonbandit Old-Timey Member Posted September 20, 2015 Posted September 20, 2015 I know, you should be too though you were telling guys how to hit the other GDT, hypocrites FTW. I never once said the star players are dumb for a certain approach, nice try
EMK19 Verified Member Posted September 20, 2015 Posted September 20, 2015 One run can be scratched out at any time. We can do this. Come on Jays!

It's pretty sad, you'd expect someone who spends 95% of their time trolling a baseball message board to at least have some idea of how the game works. Nope, still an idiot.

Professional Hitter Verified Member Posted September 20, 2015 Posted September 20, 2015 1 run down... need some "professional" AB's
rydermike Verified Member Posted September 20, 2015 Posted September 20, 2015 Just get on base anyway possible Let's get some more wild pitch strikeouts take the base like Martin yesterday!!
el duque Verified Member Posted September 20, 2015 Posted September 20, 2015 Just get on base anyway possible he is only looking for HR so the slow pitch will get him
Followthelight Verified Member Posted September 20, 2015 Posted September 20, 2015 It's pretty sad, you'd expect someone who spends 95% of their time trolling a baseball message board to at least have some idea of how the game works. Nope, still an idiot. Most outfielders try the one hop to the catcher, a one hop catch for a pro catcher is not a hard play lol. Take your own advice and learn beisbol. You are not going to get lazers without a hop right to the catcher very often at all, it;'s why the one hop is a safe easier play.
