BTS Community Moderator Posted October 4, 2015 Posted October 4, 2015 San Diego for me. Oh, good one. I don't remember the last time they had an exciting player. Prime Jake Peavy?
Stangstag Old-Timey Member Posted October 4, 2015 Posted October 4, 2015 I think they're pretty exciting aside from their awful home park and lack of fans. Kiermaier is a human highlight reel, Longoria is basically Scott Rolen, Archer is a top-5 pitcher to watch, Cobb is a monster, and I enjoy their platooning. The Twins are the most boring team in baseball. Twins have Sano and Buxton now. I just find the Rays boring. Boring players, boring stadium, boring fans, just crap alltogether.
Stangstag Old-Timey Member Posted October 4, 2015 Posted October 4, 2015 San Diego for me. Padres suck, but we rarely see them due to being in the NL. Only NL teams I really watch are the Nats, Pirates, Cubs, Dodgers, Cards.

Clayton Kershaw Chris Sale Corey Kluber Carlos Carrasco Max Scherzer Masahiro Tanaka Felix Hernandez Yu Darvish Jose Fernandez Gerrit Cole A small subset of pitchers I prefer watching over Archer. He has a great slider and is definitely in the top 25 for me, but nowhere near the top 5. Edited October 4, 2015 by reedjohnsonfan
intentional wok Old-Timey Member Posted October 4, 2015 Posted October 4, 2015 I don't find the Rays boring, but I do find them un-entertaining. Awesome pitchers but a plinky offense. Part of it is also the basement apartment vibe I get from watching their home games and the sub-minor league attendance numbers. It's all so drab. Boring, for me, is a team with mostly mediocre pitching and a middling offense. So, the Twins (this year). The Red Sox, as much as I hate them, are not boring. They're a pretty exciting team who had some things go wrong for them this year. Red Sox tears are also like sweet wine to me, so watching them implode is almost more fun than my heart can handle. I really find the White Sox boring too, but they've got some good pitching pieces and watching a guy like Chris Sale carve up an opposing lineup is never not fun. Same goes for the Mariners and Felix, but I'd rather choke to death than watch their lineup (Cruz and sons).

Watching Felix pitch at home is one of the best games you can watch, and Kuma is awesome too. Their offense has been unwatchable for years, and they've ignored defense though.
dineke Old-Timey Member Posted October 4, 2015 Posted October 4, 2015 I feel bad for Felix, he's like the halladay of the 2000-2010 jays. I hope he gets traded to a contender soon because I want to see him in the playoffs.

dineke Old-Timey Member Posted October 4, 2015 Posted October 4, 2015 Why not Toronto?? I'm not a prospect follower so do we have anything left in the farm system?
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted October 4, 2015 Posted October 4, 2015 I'm not a prospect follower so do we have anything left in the farm system? Yes but onlly a few high end prospects. Middle tier farm at best. I.wouldn't want tonsee any more traded. There are good free agent options available this off season for SP.
Maahfaace Verified Member Posted October 4, 2015 Posted October 4, 2015 Why not Toronto?? I have a strange feeling his arm is gonna fall off soon. Alot of innings on that arm despite his relatively youngish age
GeorgiaPeach Verified Member Posted October 4, 2015 Posted October 4, 2015 I honestly don't understand why anyone would cheer for the Devil Rays (don't forget they got pressured by the fossils that are fans to change the name because the devil is possesing the team or some s***.) The average age of a fan is pushing 65, it's probably why Hurl is a fan because he has graduated from wanting to f*** cougars to Silverback hunting that old catcher mitt feeling pussy. I hope they move to Montréal. Please let it not be Montreal
intentional wok Old-Timey Member Posted October 4, 2015 Posted October 4, 2015 Please let it not be Montreal The Return-to-Montreal crowd baffles me. Do people think renewed talk of Montreal is anything other than misty-eyed nostalgia? Montreal pretty much let the Expos die off. Why would anyone expect the city to suddenly erupt in support? I mean, I want to see the Montreal Expos back. But I don't think Montreal really cares if the Montreal Expos come back.
43211234 Verified Member Posted October 4, 2015 Posted October 4, 2015 I hate the Rays and their empty, catwalked dungeon, with the patchy moss they call a playing surface. At least I don't have to look at Ben Zobrist's goober face anymore.
