^Do this. Explain what is going on too. They will be very interested if this type of reverse ticket fraud is going on. It figures you get scammers selling fraudulent tickets, and than scammers reverse scamming because of the fraudulent tickets.

To do this you're basically telling the Jays you violated their terms of service though. I would hope they would still co-operate.

Someone who does that doesn't sign up with one account. I'm sure if this is a scam he has multiple accounts that he rotates through. I tend to agree though that selling face to face / cash in hand is better for the seller, but could also be riskier for the buyer.

Like I said above, the secondary market is not an official regulated market. Just like how you can't go to the cops and complain that your weed dealer shorted you on your purchase, the secondary market all comes down to trust and risk aversion/tolerance. Stubhub will provides the frameworks and mechanisms to help resolve issues for sellers, but I doubt they go the extra mile given that it's the buyers that make their business model work.

Also, thanks again for the tic jaysblue! I had an awesome time, albeit sad in the end. I fully regret not going to Game 5 right now and 'saving my money' for WS tickets given I probably have no shot at them during the public sale.

Not a problem man, anytime! I have some singles for the ALCS, so if you're interested just let me know.

Do what HERP said, but also raise a complaint with Stubhub and comment that you are in the process of retrieving actual venue information as well. As jaysblue mentioned, one thing that Stubhub DOES has access to is if this person/user/CC has reported a similar complaint before. This may help in trying to establish a pattern that could prove you were in the right.

Fyi - each time you make a new print or transfer request, a new barcode is generated. But you can print the same barcode multiple times. Older barcodes will not scan at the gate, only the most current barcode will work. So if you uploaded a barcode to stubhub, and then for some reason logged into your account manager, its possible the sold barcode could be rendered void.

This happens all the tome. You create a stubhub listing by downloading the pdf and then uploading to stubhub. While youre waiting for it to sell, you log back into account manager and print a copy for yourself to keep and boom --- the stubhub saved barcode is dead.

So if the barcode that was transferred to the seller was used, it comes down to word against word. So either the buyer is a liar and trying to pull a fast one, or you accidently f***ed yourself. The only other possibility is a 4th party logged into your account manager and stole your tickets.

Any of these scenarios suck, feel for ya

Im pretty sure theres a fee to re-printing your seats on your account manager. Once you've printed them once, they charge you to do it a second time so it would be pretty hard to do it by accident

This seems like the most likely explanation. Although does the MyBlueJays account allow you to print more than once?

There is no fee. Ive done it myself. We printed a set to keep, but they were not in color. So we logged in and again and printed again in color and used the black and white copies at gate. They didnt scan, luckily i could log into account manager and used the square quasi barcode. There is no charge for printing your own tickets.

See I was going to do this, but then I decided not to because I was afraid the barcode attached to Stubhub would be rendered useless. Didn't want to f*** myself over, so I just left it.

But the email I got from stubhub specifically says that the "ticket was already scanned" and the person was denied entry because of this.

I need to get the scan report from RC to try and sort this out. I'm hoping they can tell if the ticket has been tried multiple times vs if the ticket didn't work at all because the barcode was invalid.

Obviously if the barcode was invalid, then i'm f***ed

You can print more than once I think without them charging you? Even if you couldn't, you can save the pdf file and print as many times as you want.

I'm certain I remember reading somewhere that once they are printed they need to be "added back to your card" before you can print again but i could be wrong.

You're missing the point. Printing them again from your account changes the bar code. Printing them from opening a pdf does not.

Stubhub and MLB including Jays are partners. So essentially Jays made money off the resell. Its in their best interest the resolve the situation. If the tickets were sold on Kijiji, then RC and Jays will see that as a violation of STH terms. Stubhub is the official secondary market for MLB.

Not for the Blue Jays

Thats what I do, once I have the PDF downloaded I just have it saved and cant print as much as I want. Doing that would never deactivate the stub hub bar code though. Ive never actually tried to print twice from the account manager because I always thought there was a fee for doing so.

I tried to look it up, this is what I found

"How many times can I download and print tickets for the same seats?

You can download and print tickets as many times as you wish. Keep in mind that applicable fees for a re-authentication and TicketFast® delivery may occur for each reissue of tickets."

That sucks, I've probably sold 20+ sets of tickets over stubhub in the past year and never had a issue. I highly doubt it was because of anything he did, just some grade A ******* trying to scam someone out of a good chunk of change.

Im a season ticket holder, what can i tell you? The option to transfer, print or scan is free everytime ive done it. We went game by game this year, but bought 2016s to get playoffs this year. So we havent even actually paid for next season yet

I went to a game in April against the braves, it was a bobblehead day. I arrived at the gate with my gf and neither of our tickets would scan, saying they've already been used. A couple attempts at speaking to someone were passed off before a man in a suit said he can't help me because stubhub is a 3rd party seller, and not affiliated with them.

I left the gate and called stubhub, who I was on the phone with for 20 minutes (and all the bobbleheads dissipated) before the Rep emailed me 2 new similar value tickets. Guess what, I don't have a printer attached to my cell phone and stubhub tickets aren't able to be scanned off your phone at the gate. Off to the hotel we went.

All in all I was in the game 45 minutes after first pitch and the Jays lost to the freakin braves.

I drove from Kingston, 2.5 hr drive.

I explained all this in two emails to stubhub and I was given a $20 coupon to use on my next purchase. That wouldn't cover their fees for a decent seat at any meaningful event.

They are a money grabbing organization and they have a monopoly on the market. It's gross.

Good luck.

My s***** stubhub experience was when I bought two premium dugout seats (seller had four listed, so the same thing definitely happened to someone else) for the Edwin walkoff game against the Marlins for something like $17 each, and they contacted me three days later to tell me that they were giving me a refund because the seller took back the tickets. I didn't even know a seller could do something like that, so I was pissed. They offered me a whole $10 credit. I complained and they added an additional $20 credit... Obviously what I wanted was the tickets I had already bought. I still don't get how the seller was allowed to take them back days later because I guess he made a mistake on the price. Yes, they were obviously cheaper than the rest (which were $40 something at the time), but it's not like it was my fault that the seller priced them wrong and somehow didn't notice before posting them.

Posted

Seller could of told Stubhub he accidentally listed them elsewhere and they sold as well. Thus forcing Stubhub to remove them.

Very rarely do I trust prices that are too good to be true.

If you are looking for singles, I got mine at a reasonable price from jaysblue and I can vouch for him. I suggest you PM him.

He listed what is available here: http://www.bluejaysmessageboard.com/threads/5381-Playoff-Tickets-Thread?p=783888&viewfull=1#post783888

I have a single ticket for Tuesday, 107 row 11, face value 140 (150 something after fees), pretty good seat.

Any chance to swap it for a pair of cheaper tickets with someone here? Will kick in the difference in $. Would really like to take my pops to a game. He was at the Jays opening game at Exhibition Stadium wearing winter jackets and touques when it snowed, I think he'd like it.

Alright chums you know my prices by now.

Take the lowest price in sections 113, go to the checkout price, and convert usd to CAD. Subtract $100 CAD and that's my price, so you're getting $50 off per ticket from stubhub's lowest price.

Must buy both tickets.

Section 113D, row 9, seats 11 & 12

I have a seat in 239 for Tuesdays game. I have it listed as the cheapest 200 level seat on the ol hub right now at $199 usd. 199 usd is like 260 Canadian right now. Plus they'd charge you 15% service fees so 30 usd aka 39 Canadian. So if you buy it on there it'd be 299 Canadian.

I'll sell it to someone on here for $230 Canadian. I got it for $150 face value from tixketmaster.

I was hoping they'd get the Astros, because I work on Tuesday and live over 2 hrs away.

LET ME KNOW. I'd be happy to cut stubhub out of the equation.

Ok guys, i'm having even more problems with Stubhub now. Might have to call my credit card company and issue a new card so Stubhub can't charge me the ******** service fee.

Did you call the jays ticket office and try and get those ticket scan reports that somebody posted a link to?

I haven't received payment for 3 tickets to Game 5 yet. I'm fearing that the same thing happened to me. Or my ticketmaster cancelled my tickets since I bought one over the limit.
