LGBJ29 Verified Member Posted October 15, 2015 Posted October 15, 2015 Was the wild card game refunded? I haven't looked at the details of my massive credit card bill. No it wasn't because you only paid for 3 games in the first series.
Governator Community Moderator Posted October 15, 2015 Posted October 15, 2015 Anyone been refunded for the non-existent ALCS Game 4 yet? What do you mean non existent ALCS Game 4 yet? Edit: Home Game #4 I'm guessing, game 7? Good question.
TilsonBritoFan Verified Member Posted October 15, 2015 Posted October 15, 2015 I'm surprised that tickets aren't selling for significantly more than they are right now for the ALCS. Ticket price face value has doubled for 500 level seats, yet the increase in stubhub prices has been extremely minimal so far, similar prices to game 1 of ALDS. I sold my 500 level seats early on for first round for 4.5 times face value. My same tickets are now listed at slightly more than double face value. I wonder if that will go up or down once times are announced?
clambake Verified Member Posted October 15, 2015 Posted October 15, 2015 Sorry, yes, Home Game 4 (Game 7)
admin Site Manager Posted October 15, 2015 Author Posted October 15, 2015 Message me if you have tickets to sell. Decent priced flights right now, if I can find tickets to two games I might come down.
scottishbluejay Verified Member Posted October 15, 2015 Posted October 15, 2015 I've 2x tickets for KC tomorrow night. 500 level behind home plate. Think it's section 525. My buddy can't make it as he's flying back to Scotland, so decided we should sell. Thought I'd post here before putting them on stubhub. Drop me a message or txt to 647 928 1967. Can pick up downtown or email.
Stangstag Old-Timey Member Posted October 15, 2015 Posted October 15, 2015 Currently selling tix for ALCS home game 1. 2 tix for Section 141R row 6. Looking for around $350 each. Willing to bargain on the price. Message me if you're interested. I already have them listed on stubhub.
jaysblue Old-Timey Member Posted October 15, 2015 Posted October 15, 2015 I have tickets available for the ALCS home game 1, 2 and 3. HERPDERP Old-Timey Member Posted October 15, 2015 Posted October 15, 2015 Why so many singles? o.o I may be interested but that would probably be on Sunday.
TheHurl Site Manager Posted October 15, 2015 Posted October 15, 2015 What do you mean non existent ALCS Game 4 yet? Edit: Home Game #4 I'm guessing, game 7? Good question. Gov, I don't read this thread too often, can you or one of the others do me a favour and send me a PM if they refund to your account as credit rather than to your Credit card. It has to go back on the card in my case and I don't want to miss out on this (although I'd hope they would send an email but it wouldn't surprise me if it's just sitting on your account)
jaysblue Old-Timey Member Posted October 15, 2015 Posted October 15, 2015 Why so many singles? o.o I may be interested but that would probably be on Sunday. Game 3, 4, and 5 of the ALCS would be on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday.
drokli12 Verified Member Posted October 15, 2015 Posted October 15, 2015 Section 535 Row 21 pair for the ALCS Home Game 1, Series Game 3. $500 for the pair, pm if interested. Thank you!
TheHurl Site Manager Posted October 15, 2015 Posted October 15, 2015 I really thought this thread would be an opportunity to tighten our messageboard community and offer deals (while still profiting). I can't believe how many people are asking for StubHub prices (while not even having to pay StubHub's fees) to board members. Admin is nicer than me as I'd be deleting posts and banning exorbitant price posters, but he told me not to. I still profited off of the ALDS while giving one of the truly good guys of this board, tickets he wanted. I actually took less than his initial offer. All I want to do is make enough money to pay for my world series ticket and cheer on the Dodgers, Cubs or TdA. I can't force anyone to lower their prices here and I understand when people want to maximize their profit but if you do...remember there is a donate button at the top of the board.

I hear what your saying but the truth of the matter is that as a season ticket holder I was asked to pay $1420 for a post season strip. I can't afford this, most people can't. If you want to go to some of the games you'd need to sell some tickets. If someone is offering you $250 a ticket, then why would you sell them for $200 to another person you don't know... based on the fact they are on a forum? I'd love for my ticket to be in the hands of a true hardcore jays fan. But I'd not lose $50 to do so. Money doesn't grow on trees.
drokli12 Verified Member Posted October 15, 2015 Posted October 15, 2015 I think you may have been referring to my post and I am in the same boat, looking to pay for my World Series tickets cost, or at least eat some of it. I'm doing the exact same, using my opportunity as a season seat holder, making a huge investment in the team I'm a fan of, to get access to playoff tickets that are high in demand and can help pay for some of the investment I've made. $500 doesn't even come close to the cost of the World Series and ALCS total cost. But it definitely pays for two games. I know it is not right to sell over face value and I would respect having my post getting deleted. But the truth is there are many people out there that are willing to pay over face value to be in the 'Dome and if it can help me go to a few games, I thought I'd take my chance. I'm also willing to take best offers from fellow fans too!
LGBJ29 Verified Member Posted October 15, 2015 Posted October 15, 2015 I am in the same boat as well. There are service fees for later round we had to pay for that are non-refundable if the games are not played. In addition I plan on going to every world series game I can. In order to afford that I need to sell tickets. Ive never asked for the same price on here as I made on stub hub. But Im not going to sell them at face value or slightly higher just because someone is a long time poster on a forum. In my opinion thats for friends and family members, not strangers. Yeah my prices may be inflated, but the prices myself and other have listed on here are still a much better deal than you will find on stub hub, and all we're doing is giving posters more options

I appreciate your response (and I wasn't referencing you), but you aren't even a member of this forum, and appear to have signed up just to sell. However, my response was actually after having many PMs about my tickets and hearing what others (some regulars on the board) are asking of long term members of this community. My belief is that if you want to maximize your profit, go sell elsewhere. I've done my share of scalping in my life and I understand maximizing profits. If there were no other places to do this, I'd be okay with it but IMO If you want a member of this community to buy your tickets, put them up at lower than stubhub prices. Once again this is personal opinion not that of the board and we will not be enforcing anything I say (ever) as a rule.

I've priced my tickets lower than stubhub ($50 lower) at that time and I still got criticized. I think some expect tickets to be offered at face value.
scottishbluejay Verified Member Posted October 15, 2015 Posted October 15, 2015 If I wanted to maximize I'd go to the game with two tickets in the air. The concept of posting here would be to offer tickets at a level that sees the buyer saving money and the seller gaining money in comparison to a stubhub sell. Cut out stubhub and everyone should win. If the person on the forum is offering above stubhub.... easy. Don't buy them. Buy from stubhub or craigslist. I've a strong feeling people are looking for others to offer cheap deals just on the basis of the forum. That's nearly as bad as asking for crazy money in a rip off deal.
scottishbluejay Verified Member Posted October 15, 2015 Posted October 15, 2015 Rule of thumb: Sellers - don't rip people off. Buyers - don't expect a freebie
West Texas Forever Old-Timey Member Posted October 15, 2015 Posted October 15, 2015 I made a lot of money on the September run for tickets so I haven't sold any tickets yet, been to the first 3 games. I just laugh at people beside me when they tell me they payed $200 more for a ticket than I did when I bought all my series tickets at the beginning of September.
HERPDERP Old-Timey Member Posted October 15, 2015 Posted October 15, 2015 If it's any consolation at least we're not like RFD, where they delete your threads if you sell anything above face value! Every transaction has to be done under the table.
Stangstag Old-Timey Member Posted October 15, 2015 Posted October 15, 2015 What the f***. Just got an email from Stubhub that i'm not going to get paid because the buyer claims my tickets were already scanned? What the hell? Anybody ever have this problem? This is my first time ever selling through stubhub. What do I do?

What's stopping someone from going to the game and then saying the tickets were invalid due to something like this.
Stangstag Old-Timey Member Posted October 15, 2015 Posted October 15, 2015 How could they be scanned if its for the ALCS? Or was this for the ALDS? It was for last night's game. This is f***ing ********. Seller is obviously lying. I'm pretty pissed right now, because I don't see this ending with stubhub giving me my money. So some ******* potentially got to go to game 5 for free
King Old-Timey Member Posted October 15, 2015 Posted October 15, 2015 Sucks that had to happen Stangstag. Hopefully you can get your money.

Yes, I only recently joined this forum and yes it was for the purpose of selling. I didn't join the forum community but that doesn't mean I'm not a die hard fan either looking to recoup some costs. I think we can all agree that if my price is too high, nobody needs to respond or buy them. If someone wants to make a legitimate offer, I would consider it. If I made a mistake in the price, I could lower it too. I've never used stubhub before and I don't know what the ticket prices are going for. But maybe I should to maximize the chances of selling them. And in the spirit of the forum, let's go blue jays!
HERPDERP Old-Timey Member Posted October 15, 2015 Posted October 15, 2015 Take a look at this reply: http://stub-hub-reviews.measuredup.com/Complaint-sellers-and-buyers-beware-51782 Basically, call Rogers Centre and see if they can issue you a scan report to see how many times the ticket was scanned. If the ticket was scanned more than once, then someone had a duplicate copy of your ticket and scanned in previously. They would have to investigate further to see if the seller scammed or if the venue double sold a ticket. If there was only one scan, then the buyer is obviously lying.
