nextyear Verified Member Posted August 29, 2015 Posted August 29, 2015 He had a 3.5 WAR for the Oakland A's in 2010 - http://www.fangraphs.com/statss.aspx?playerid=3395&position=SS. Pennington is another important utility player to have on the team. He is good defensively and has had productive years in the past (2010 and 2011 were good offensive years).

Atothe Old-Timey Member Posted August 29, 2015 Posted August 29, 2015 Swing and a miss for boxy & Pennington
GD Old-Timey Member Posted August 29, 2015 Posted August 29, 2015 I dislike him solely because any f***ing time he hits a sac fly or something of the sort Buck and Pat go f***ing crazy about HIS VETRIN LEADERSHIP
dineke Old-Timey Member Posted August 29, 2015 Posted August 29, 2015 He would have been great if it wasn't for the shoulder injury.
nextyear Verified Member Posted August 29, 2015 Posted August 29, 2015 He would have been great if it wasn't for the shoulder injury. What type of injury did he have?
Followthelight Verified Member Posted August 29, 2015 Posted August 29, 2015 Boxcar is the best poster on this site.
Praxis Verified Member Posted August 29, 2015 Posted August 29, 2015 I thought his name was Chad. Huh; you learn something new everyday. Wasn't he this guy? http://media.cmgdigital.com/shared/img/photos/2012/03/31/d1/66/Pennington_807947a.jpg
nextyear Verified Member Posted August 29, 2015 Posted August 29, 2015 You guys are so dumn I resemble that remark
BigCecil Old-Timey Member Posted August 29, 2015 Posted August 29, 2015 You guys are so dumn Trust me I knew exactly what you were up to choosing Pennington who sucks. Cause that's just how you are.
BigCecil Old-Timey Member Posted September 6, 2015 Posted September 6, 2015 Pennington finally did something worthy of this thread of Boxys...he got himself kicked out instead of Bautista yesterday.
Krylian Old-Timey Member Posted September 6, 2015 Posted September 6, 2015 I dislike him solely because any f***ing time he hits a sac fly or something of the sort Buck and Pat go f***ing crazy about HIS VETRIN LEADERSHIP Then hate Buck and Pat.

Ump was following Bautista to the dugout waiting for a reason to toss him and Pennington told him to f*** off with that s*** lol

BigCecil Old-Timey Member Posted September 18, 2015 Posted September 18, 2015 http://cdn.meme.am/instances2/500x/1727712.jpg A thread that started out of sarcasm, trolling appreciation threads now seems to have some juice. Every team that has big injuries needs some guys to step up nobody ever expected and he is doing a good job for us so far. I think Pompey could do same if on the 25 over Carrera.
Governator Community Moderator Posted September 18, 2015 Posted September 18, 2015 We love you Pennington, maybe in the offseason you can give Rogers Centre an extreme makeover? http://www.blogcdn.com/jobs.aol.com/articles/media/2011/06/ty-pennington-casual-293.jpg

eastcoastjaysfan Old-Timey Member Posted September 18, 2015 Posted September 18, 2015 Saved Osuna's ass in that Yankees game and pretty much won us the game last night. He's made huge contributions in key situations. Preferred Danny V at the time... but Pennington is very reliable. I think it was the right move now in retrospect.

Krylian Old-Timey Member Posted September 18, 2015 Posted September 18, 2015 I can't believe this thread still has legs. It has a twat too...but I'm not gonna name names.
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted September 18, 2015 Posted September 18, 2015 Cliff Pennington >= Ryan Goins My body is ready.
nextyear Verified Member Posted September 19, 2015 Posted September 19, 2015 I can't believe this thread still has legs. Now with Devon Travis (probably) gone for the season and Tulowitzki out for another week or two, Pennington has become a very important part of the team. Thumbs up for your terrific foresight in creating this thread
nextyear Verified Member Posted September 19, 2015 Posted September 19, 2015 Cliff Pennington >= Ryan Goins My body is ready. It is tough to argue that Pennington isn't equal to Goins, however I prefer Goins at shortstop while Tulowitzki is out. I am a fan of both Pennington and Goins (and also Tulowitzki) so I can't condemn your post. It is too bad that Darwin Barney doesn't get more of a chance to play. Maybe once the Blue Jays clinch the AL East, we will see Pennington at 3B, Goins at SS and Barney at 2B in a game or two.

Barney is the better player but not available for the post season. I like everyone else hope he isn't needed or seen anywhere near the playoff roster but if he somehow is I don't want him to have gone over a month with out seeing live game pitching. Even if we hope it never happens we need to be ready if it does.
Arjun Nimmala Vancouver Canadians - A+ SS It's been slow going at the start of the season for Nimmala, but on Sunday, he was 3-for-5 with his 3rd home run and 3 RBI. Explore Arjun Nimmala News >
