- Donaldson tags Machado, Machado throws helmet and gets in his face, his pitcher runs out defending him

- Pitcher hits Donaldson

- Machado hits Norris with his backswing, knocking Norris out of game

- A's pitcher throws inside but doesn't hit Machado

- Machado tries to fire bat at him next pitch

Hands-down the most childish thing I've seen on a baseball field.

 

Rodriguez yelling at Howie Clark or trying to knock the ball out of Arroyo's glove were more childish.

 

Machado's bat toss was dangerous.

What do you like about him exactly?

 

Swing and Defense. Although I like that he was told by the O's, MLB, his agent to distance himself from the Miami crowd after the Bosch stuff and he pretty much said Yonder is family (he's married to his sister) and if hanging with them costs me endorsements than those aren't endorsements I want. He had a really bad weekend last year, but I don't really care about this "disrespecting the game" s***. Keep in mind Bonds and ARod were among my favourite all time players.

I absolutely loathe Machado. Great player, but a giant douche. Hell, there are many, many reasons to hate him. Those comments... are not one of them. He's just a bit boiled up and frustrated, which I'd be too in that same scenario. I really don't find much wrong with those comments.

Thanks. I just cant like a guy based soley on skills if I know the type of person they are or who they project themselves to be (in this case a giant douchebag). Kind of like boxing, I never understood why so many love convicted rapist Tyson or woman beater Mayweather and literally give them money year after year to see them fight.

I admit it. I hate the Orioles, and Machado in particular. If this frustrated tirade had been from a player on another struggling borderline-in-contention-team like the Nationals or Angels I would not have bothered making a thread. I get satisfaction from seeing this whiny bitch being upset.

btw just a FYI on Machado. When we were last in Baltimore (or I think it was the first series) there was an article that Donaldson, Machado and E5 were all talking at batting practice discussing hitting, so its all in the past.

 

of course this was before that questionable pitch to Bautista late in that game.
