Who would make a good moderator?

I think this board is big enough for 6- 10 mods at least, ideally from different regions or time zones!

 

I represent the west or prairies!

 

Plus our continued growth and influx do to the teams recent success! More posters and trolls are coming still and soon lets get ahead of the curve!

Eh, I think most were pretty ok with o2 until he banned like fifteen of us in one night for no reason. I personally thought it was dumb but it's not like I have anything against him now because of that. And anything negative I've said about hurl was never serious and really only because he's a Rays fan.

Out of curiosity what does King do to get banned so much. Nobody trashes the mods more than Boxcar yet hes never banned. Speaking of Boxcar I know hes a dick but he would actually make a good mod. Write in vote for sure.

Like I said though, none of this will be an issue, because if people think I can't behave myself as a moderator, I have no problem working with the other mods behind the scenes and refraining from posting in the regular forum unless necessary. I want to see this place get better a lot more than you do.

Pretty bold for someone who joined "July 30, 2015". You complain about insults, yet I've seen you call posters 'idiot' more than once on this account and on all of your others since mid 2013. You're like that serial killer who everyone knows has murdered more people than they know of, only your claim to fame is user accounts on a Blue Jay message board. Can we at least stop posters from just posting "lol" or something useless to that effect? I mean, we have posters (likely in the age 12-18 range) who clearly have the attention span of a moth and when someone like Olerud or Twisted makes a longer post, the reply from some of these ADD cases is "lol" or "tldr". Is that really better than someone trying to contribute something even if they're out to lunch?

 

There is a much better chance I get something out of a longer post compared to a 3 letter post which is just made to piss off the long winded poster.

Comment on my contributions... lol. Every comment you ever direct at me is an attempt to provoke me into an argument. I'm sure you pride yourself on trolling and getting a reaction out of people, but if the person isn't reacting, at what point does it just become sad? Example 1, 2, 3, 4, 5.

This is exactly my point. All you care about is "people like you". You're so hung up on the fact that this place was made two years ago to serve people like you that all you want from this site is for it to be a "boys club" chatroom. You don't care about this community growing or bringing in new people, and you've never given any indication that you respect the opinions of newer members. The only reason you even want new moderators is so that they can ban people you dislike, without banning your friends at the same time, like O2 did a few times. I don't agree with a lot of O2's decisions and how he went about things, but the way "people like you" have treated him is ridiculous.

 

Juiced opened this thread with a comment that he's looking for mods that don't give in to the "mob mentality" which is exactly what you promote when you make pretentious statements like "this place was made for people like me".
