We are looking to add two new moderators. At least one that will be around gamedays to help clean it up. We may even get a mod strictly for gameday cleanups.

We want someone who is fair, and doesn't join the mob mentality.

 

The one with the most votes won't necessarily be a mod. The top 3-5 vote getters will be discussed by mods and we will make the final decision.

This seems low as a number. I think we should be adding more in the 5-10 range.

5-10 new mods is a crazy number. You don't want to hold a summit every time you need the mods to agree on something. On top of that, the more mods you have, the higher the chance that someone goes on a power trip, the higher the chance that someone has an itchy trigger finger on bans, and the higher the chance that someone does something stupid like accidentally permabanning a user or permanently deleting a thread.

I don't think anyone would step on each other though, and certain mods would have certain designated duties. And with more mods, the faster the reaction to a power trip, or a spammer, or Dogg, etc.

You don't want people to stop on each other's toes, but when you have that many voices and that many opinions, it's bound to happen. I think it's safe to assume that Hurl and O2 had to have had disagreements, just based on what we saw on the open board. Now imagine if there were five people on each side of those disagreements. It would be chaotic.

 

The fact that you think 5-10 new mods is a good idea tells me that you're just not ready.

Make you a mod? This is ban worthy s*** right here man.

 

I think if you're picking the right people, with roughly 9 mods in total (odd number) you can have discussions. If fantasy leagues can have 30 people vote on decisions on this board with dumbasses like King and I, I think mods can make a decision with 9 people.

Sorry I just stumbled in there by accident, sorry it upset you!

Didn't know it was a secrecy society. I only found it trying to figure out why so many got banned!

I delete any spam in the off topic that are reported as soon as I get to my stationary pc.

There are no Darrells on the list, I forget who the Barneys are and the Costanzas don't exist. I don't think any of the Darrells care enough about the main board to moderate it.
