Colabello just had an excellent interview on PTS. Verywell spoken. I hope you guys come around on this guy.

Not sure what you mean? Who has been hating on Colabello? Don't think I have seen anyone s***ing on him personally.

I love his offense. He's actually won as many games for us with his bat as anyone except Donaldson. But the guy is a f***ing pile on defensively. He's the Canseco that gets hit in the head by a fly ball like a homer, for a homer! Even at first base, he is really really bad. But he's had some clutch hits that have won games for us. Walked off against the Astros, Game winner in that almost no hitter by Estrada against T.B. There's just no place on the field to put the guy without him being a liability

No he hasn't

No he hasn't

The guy you quoted worded it poorly and the sample size is obviously not big at all, but yes, Colabello has been the best bat on the team outside of Donaldson.

MB would be nice to have back on a one year deal next season to slot into that 4-5 spot. Very valuable to have a guy like this who can pitch 7 innings most of the time.

They'll offer him a QO, if he retires, not much we can do.

Correct and I'm glad you mentioned the lost games earlier this season as those games are the only reason why the Jays don't have the division wrapped up. The ones that loom large are the blown saves as 17 were blown and 14 turned out to be losses.

Lost games earlier in the season? You mean the ones you weren't watching?

The division usually isn't "wrapped up" or clinched until the last couple weeks of the season. Losses are part of baseball. Even the best teams lose 40% of their games. The division is never "won" by August.

He doesn't watch a lot of the baseball season so he doesn't know. Once the Jays are eliminated, so is baseball

Exactly

AA will certainly want him back

But MB seems like the kind of guy who would be hard to talk out retirement if that's what he thinks he wants to do
