who? anyone who cant watch can easily use gameday on MLB.com

 

Gameday eats up cellular data, I don't mind gruber doing this. Much better than Trouba living and dying with every pitch.

I was just pointing out the stupidity of your statement. Jose can play RF alright. It definitely does not "suck to have him playing RF". His bat more than makes up for his defense. I'm not sure Pompey/Bautista is better than Smoak/Bautista or Cola/Bautista at this point.

Pretty easy to see that Trouba was referencing Jose's defense in RF and to think that he's been anything less than an abortion out there is wrong. He has been an absolute train wreck this year, the worst I've seen from him. The only above average tool he has out there is his arm, which has been f***ed most of the season. He constantly does little things wrong that compound into extra bases, chances to score, etc.

 

For a guy who seems to be such a student of the game, his ineptitude on defense blows my mind. His mental errors- throwing to the wrong base, not keeping double plays in order, using his bare hand to pick up a bouncing ball drive me absolutely nuts. Physical errors happen, they're part of the game. Mental errors are due to a lack of concentration and focus and are completely unacceptable.

I disagree with your assessment. Jose has been below-average defensively, but not close to "an abortion". He has made several errors, yes. But so has Donaldson... and Pillar.

 

Colabelo in LF was "an abortion", and Jose has not been close to that bad.
