Maahfaace Verified Member Posted September 1, 2015 Posted September 1, 2015 Like i give a s*** about post counts bro. maybe not, but you care about defense!

EMK19 Verified Member Posted September 1, 2015 Posted September 1, 2015 Hopefully it'll be like our '93 run where Yankees couldn't take advantage of any of our slips down the stretch drive
Trouba95 Old-Timey Member Posted September 1, 2015 Author Posted September 1, 2015 Nothing lost. Nothing gained. Today is a wash. Yep. Just another game off the schedule. Sucks we have Jose in RF. Wonder if Pompey catches that.
Frenchsoup Verified Member Posted September 1, 2015 Posted September 1, 2015 Yep. Just another game off the schedule. Sucks we have Jose in RF. Wonder if Pompey catches that. lol so u want Pomp in there instead of Bats?
Stangstag Old-Timey Member Posted September 1, 2015 Posted September 1, 2015 Yep. Just another game off the schedule. Sucks we have Jose in RF. Wonder if Pompey catches that. I'm sure 25 other teams would happily have Bautista playing RF for them.
Trouba95 Old-Timey Member Posted September 1, 2015 Author Posted September 1, 2015 I'm sure 25 other teams would happily have Bautista playing RF for them. He can play 1st
Stangstag Old-Timey Member Posted September 1, 2015 Posted September 1, 2015 He can play 1st I was just pointing out the stupidity of your statement. Jose can play RF alright. It definitely does not "suck to have him playing RF". His bat more than makes up for his defense. I'm not sure Pompey/Bautista is better than Smoak/Bautista or Cola/Bautista at this point.
Frenchsoup Verified Member Posted September 1, 2015 Posted September 1, 2015 How did Bello do tonight against the tough righthander tonight? edit:not my finest statement

L54 Old-Timey Member Posted September 1, 2015 Posted September 1, 2015 Pretty easy to see that Trouba was referencing Jose's defense in RF and to think that he's been anything less than an abortion out there is wrong. He has been an absolute train wreck this year, the worst I've seen from him. The only above average tool he has out there is his arm, which has been f***ed most of the season. He constantly does little things wrong that compound into extra bases, chances to score, etc. For a guy who seems to be such a student of the game, his ineptitude on defense blows my mind. His mental errors- throwing to the wrong base, not keeping double plays in order, using his bare hand to pick up a bouncing ball drive me absolutely nuts. Physical errors happen, they're part of the game. Mental errors are due to a lack of concentration and focus and are completely unacceptable.

Jose has been below-average defensively, but not close to "an abortion". He has made several errors, yes. But so has Donaldson... and Pillar. Colabelo in LF was "an abortion", and Jose has not been close to that bad.
King Old-Timey Member Posted September 1, 2015 Posted September 1, 2015 This dodgers game will never end.
