o2cui2i Community Moderator Posted September 2, 2015 Posted September 2, 2015 Red Sox will be a good team in 2016. we just want them to suck just as much against us as they have against NY.
L54 Old-Timey Member Posted September 2, 2015 Posted September 2, 2015 No. Just letting out some steam. Go outside then.
L54 Old-Timey Member Posted September 2, 2015 Posted September 2, 2015 we just want them to suck just as much against us as they have against NY. Yes, I agree. My post wasn't even directed at you, just hadn't refreshed the page. I hope the Jays get to see Henry Owens. That would be fun.

Effit Old-Timey Member Posted September 2, 2015 Posted September 2, 2015 need the stinking braves to bend over and take it as well. They were putrid against NY. They didn't fare too well against the Braves back in April.
o2cui2i Community Moderator Posted September 2, 2015 Posted September 2, 2015 They didn't fare too well against the Braves back in April. I was really hoping we could get a couple games of separation before next weeks series against the yankees.
Effit Old-Timey Member Posted September 2, 2015 Posted September 2, 2015 I was really hoping we could get a couple games of separation before next weeks series against the yankees. Yeah, I'm ready to not have them nipping at our ankles. s***'s getting real, need a breather. lol
L54 Old-Timey Member Posted September 2, 2015 Posted September 2, 2015 They will. Good to know, Troubs.
Trouba95 Old-Timey Member Posted September 3, 2015 Author Posted September 3, 2015 Okay, so we all become temporary Rays fans this weekend. Odurizzi, Moore and Archer. Love you BTS and Hurl!
Trouba95 Old-Timey Member Posted September 3, 2015 Author Posted September 3, 2015 Houston or Texas? Which team do we want winning the AL West?
burlingtonbandit Old-Timey Member Posted September 3, 2015 Posted September 3, 2015 Houston or Texas? Which team do we want winning the AL West? Both of them are pretty good matchups for the Jays. Houston has Keuchel and Kazmir who are both LHP and Houston's park is geared toward our lineup. Texa has Hamels and Holland. Houston is still the better team I would say though.
Trouba95 Old-Timey Member Posted September 3, 2015 Author Posted September 3, 2015 Yeah, I think I'd rather face the Astros as long as we have home advantage.
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted September 3, 2015 Posted September 3, 2015 I think the Astros are a much better team than the Rangers. Keuchel induces a ton of groundballs, which is probably not great for this lineup.
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted September 3, 2015 Posted September 3, 2015 A classic position vs position comparison: C: Jason Castro/Hank Conger > Bobby Wilson/Chris Gimenez 1B: Mitch Moreland/Mike Napoli > Chris Carter 2B: Jose Altuve >> Rougned Odor 3B: Adrian Beltre (if healthy) >> Luis Valbuena/Jed Lowrie SS: Carlos Correa >>> Elvis Andrus LF: Colby Rasmus/Preston Tucker > Josh Hamilton (if fully healthy, this could be flipped) CF: Carlos Gomez >> Delino Deshields Jr. RF: George Springer (if healthy) >> Shin-Soo Choo SP1: Dallas Keuchel > Cole Hamels SP2: Scott Kazmir > Derek Holland SP3-SP5: Mike Fiers, Lance McCullers, Collin McHugh >> Yovani Gallardo, Colby Lewis, Martin Perez Bullpen: Astros >>> Rangers, the Astros are 9th in xFIP, the Rangers are last. I don't really see how the Rangers are better at all.
burlingtonbandit Old-Timey Member Posted September 3, 2015 Posted September 3, 2015 Yeah I'd much rather face Texas as a Jays fan. I just want to win the division though. We aren't at the point of the season where we should be looking at potential matchups. Damn next week's series vs NY is going to beeen HUGEEEE. Kinda want to drive up for the Saturday game, especially if Stro is starting.

If Houston doesn't shape up soon, there's still the risk they miss the playoffs altogether.. their lead's down to 2, Houston owns the Rangers this season, plus they face the Twins this weekend, who could knock the Astros out of the postseason mix if they sweep..
King Old-Timey Member Posted September 3, 2015 Posted September 3, 2015 Anyone watching Twins vs White Sox. Samardzija gascanning early.
BlueBirdBro Verified Member Posted September 3, 2015 Posted September 3, 2015 I was going to ask, is Shark just really unlucky lately or has he actually BEEN bad?
reedjohnsonfan Verified Member Posted September 3, 2015 Posted September 3, 2015 I was going to ask, is Shark just really unlucky lately or has he actually BEEN bad? He hasn't been very good but that's more from missing his spots way too much. The velocity is still there and his Slider and Splitter still seem sharp. Would be a great buy low in the offseason IMO
Trouba95 Old-Timey Member Posted September 3, 2015 Author Posted September 3, 2015 4-1 Twins. Want Tex or Houston to somehow fall out and the Twins make it in. Two horse race between Tex and Min is interesting.
BlueBirdBro Verified Member Posted September 3, 2015 Posted September 3, 2015 I've been bored at work today so I went from various non-baseball fans to the next asking them to pronounce Samardzija
Ogi Verified Member Posted September 3, 2015 Posted September 3, 2015 I've been bored at work today so I went from various non-baseball fans to the next asking them to pronounce Samardzija I don't think anybody pronounces Samardzija correctly
Trouba95 Old-Timey Member Posted September 4, 2015 Author Posted September 4, 2015 So apparently CC is going to rejoin the rotation. Will the Yanks go with a 6-man rotation?
labadee Verified Member Posted September 6, 2015 Posted September 6, 2015 KC threatening 2 on one out
dineke Old-Timey Member Posted September 6, 2015 Posted September 6, 2015 Houston or Texas? Which team do we want winning the AL West? Who the f*** cares? Jays are better than both.

BigBounceyBlueBalls Old-Timey Member Posted September 6, 2015 Posted September 6, 2015 Thank you Chicago !!! FYSMC KC !! Fear The Bird we are coming for you!!!
thatoneguy Old-Timey Member Posted September 6, 2015 Posted September 6, 2015 I don't think anybody pronounces Samardzija correctly I think a lot of people pronounce it correctly since they hear it on sports news or w/e, but they can't spell it correctly to save their lives (speaking from experience here).
