Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted August 30, 2015 Posted August 30, 2015 I think that Tulowitzki would have turned that single by Rodriguez into a double play (but I might be delusional). I hope this doesn't sound like an attack, the Braves have the best defensive shorstop in the MLB, arguably one of the best defenders in all of professional baseball. If Andrelton Simmons can't make a tough play then pretty much no one can.

I am not offended by a differing viewpoint, but just looking at the video the SS didn't seem to make an all out effort - http://m.mlb.com/video/v430463683/nyyatl-arod-lines-a-single-knocks-in-two-runs/?game_pk=415598 . Quite possibly Tulowitzki wouldn't have made the play either but I think Tulowitzki would have made it close. However, if it was hit on the Rogers Centre turf then it might have slowed more.

I don't think anyone could have gotten that, he started ranging to his left and stopped when he realized he had no shot at the ball. Even if he keeps going hard and dives he misses the ball by a good 2-3 feet.
Boxcar Old-Timey Member Posted August 31, 2015 Posted August 31, 2015 I find it really amusing that Yankee fans, while enjoying out of nowhere huge years from A-Rod and Teixeira, are constantly accusing the Jays for juicing.

Rajais Mitten Verified Member Posted August 31, 2015 Posted August 31, 2015 Don't worry these are some of the same people who can't grasp the simple concept of JD going from that massive park in Oakland to the way more hitter friendly RC and have his numbers rise.

Lol. Yeah I wouldn't be surprised if Tex, Arod, and Edwin are all on SOMETHING. Cruz too.
jaysfan2014 Old-Timey Member Posted August 31, 2015 Posted August 31, 2015 Tex shut down indefinitely. Not good for the Yanks hopes for catching the Jays..
Candy Maldonado Old-Timey Member Posted August 31, 2015 Posted August 31, 2015 Tex shut down indefinitely. Not good for the Yanks hopes for catching the Jays.. major blow
Trouba95 Old-Timey Member Posted August 31, 2015 Author Posted August 31, 2015 Now just need Tanaka's arm to flare up.
jaysfan2014 Old-Timey Member Posted August 31, 2015 Posted August 31, 2015 major blow Yes it is. While Greg Bird has had a good start to his MLB career, losing a 30 HR threat really hurts, especially with McCann now the only real power threat now with A-Rod being basically a corpse of what he once was.. and Bird is a slight defensive downgrade over Tex as well.
Trouba95 Old-Timey Member Posted September 1, 2015 Author Posted September 1, 2015 Yanks rallying...f***
