A few updates:

 

Angels win 8-7 vs. Tigers, will be 0.5 game back of the Rangers if the Jays hold their 6-5 lead.

Rays lost to the Twins 11-7, Twins also could be 0.5 back as well. Like anyone cared in St. Pete--9,632 fans showed up.

Royals lead 3-2 on the O's.

And of course, the Yanks were bloodied 15-1 to the Astros, a game where Crap Cushion sh** the bed and Brendan Ryan, a infielder, pitched 2 innings.

 

Royals will be hard to catch.

We just did it against the Yankees... So obviously it's possible. But that s*** doesn't happen often and its extremely rare and difficult... So no, it's not a likely outcome... And I know you guys love to deal in probabilities.

Of course it's improbable, but it can be done, with 4 more weeks on top of the time frame they caught the Yankees in, who knows. Yet, I'd just rather seperation from the Yankees.

I love ya spanks but I don't put the Royals and Yanks on the same page..... I think we can close the gap but very very improbable that we catch the Royals. It would have to be a collapse or another 12 game winning streak by the jays.

As a baseball fan, I want the Twins to win, as a good story. But from a Blue Jays fan's perspective, the Angels are the team that the Jays have the best run differential against.

So I'd say the Jays have at least twice as good of a chance to catch the Royals than the O's to the Jays.
