Followthelight Verified Member Posted August 25, 2015 Posted August 25, 2015 Might be the worst 1 to 0 game I've seen in a long time. Sloppy plays all around.
Baseball Player Verified Member Posted August 25, 2015 Posted August 25, 2015 It's alright guys, we don't need other teams to help us. We're the best team in baseball.
Followthelight Verified Member Posted August 25, 2015 Posted August 25, 2015 astros had no business winning that game with all those blown chances. sigh. f*** you stros and yanks collectively Yeah was some bad baseball by the stros tonight.
jaysfan2014 Old-Timey Member Posted August 25, 2015 Posted August 25, 2015 O's getting pounded by KC. Texas and LA are likely feeling more comfortable..
Followthelight Verified Member Posted August 25, 2015 Posted August 25, 2015 Yeah can't see the Orioles making the wildcard.
Trouba95 Old-Timey Member Posted August 25, 2015 Author Posted August 25, 2015 Really need the Twins to overtake Texas/LA. We can beat the snot out them failing we don't secure the division.

G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted August 25, 2015 Posted August 25, 2015 Looking at standings today there are not a lot of teams really in contention in the AL Blue Jays and Yankees both look highly likely to make the playoffs, one as a division champ and one as a WC. Orioles and Rays are too far back and probably not good enough to make crazy runs. The Central has been over for weeks. Royals own it. The rest all all pretenders. The West has 3 teams in congtention. Most likely 2/3 of Astros Rangers and Angels and make the playoffs, with one getting beaten back in head to head games.

Angels are going to keep fading, I doubt they will hang around. If they make it it means they are playing good heading in to the post season and I wouldn't want to face them lol. I'll get a better feel on Texas after this weekend
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted August 25, 2015 Posted August 25, 2015 The good thing, in terms of excitement, is that the division really means something now. Of course, that's not good for us if we end up a WC team.

jaysfan2014 Old-Timey Member Posted August 25, 2015 Posted August 25, 2015 Nova getting destroyed in the 1st inning. Already 5-0 and not out of the inning yet. Jays need to win tonight.

We have to win most nights regardless of what happens tonight with NYY. That's just the math. Wasn't sure what Astros would bring to this series - they had won 4 of last 8 before it on walk offs. Lucky streak.

I just hope the jays can lock up the division with a few days to spare. Get our guys rested and ready to go.

They just need to take it one game at a time and let the standings create this outcome. cliché but true.

flafson Verified Member Posted August 26, 2015 Posted August 26, 2015 Gattis with 2 run HR. 7-0 Astros and Nova is out of the game after 4+ innings.
jaysfan2014 Old-Timey Member Posted August 26, 2015 Posted August 26, 2015 A few updates: Angels win 8-7 vs. Tigers, will be 0.5 game back of the Rangers if the Jays hold their 6-5 lead. Rays lost to the Twins 11-7, Twins also could be 0.5 back as well. Like anyone cared in St. Pete--9,632 fans showed up. Royals lead 3-2 on the O's. And of course, the Yanks were bloodied 15-1 to the Astros, a game where Crap Cushion sh** the bed and Brendan Ryan, a infielder, pitched 2 innings.
baubau Verified Member Posted August 26, 2015 Posted August 26, 2015 Just saw Carlos Gomez's scruff with the Yanks. Comes back and hits a 3 run HR. Man I love that dude. He's like a constantly angry JB.
Trouba95 Old-Timey Member Posted August 26, 2015 Author Posted August 26, 2015 Pineda vs McHugh at 1 tomorrow. Go Astros!
