thatoneguy Old-Timey Member Posted August 3, 2015 Posted August 3, 2015 Not sure the last time there was this electric atmosphere surrounding the team.
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted August 3, 2015 Posted August 3, 2015 Hawkins might Satchel Paige it and pitch into his 50's He's retiring...

Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted August 3, 2015 Posted August 3, 2015 Not sure the last time there was this electric atmosphere surrounding the team. Did you just hear what Price just said, they floored him. Best atmosphere ever?! Wow! Better than a playoff game, lol.

havok24 Old-Timey Member Posted August 3, 2015 Posted August 3, 2015 The first WC spot is right there for the taking.
Daniel Labude Jays Centre Contributor Posted August 3, 2015 Posted August 3, 2015 Great team win!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Price was f***ing amazing!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted August 3, 2015 Posted August 3, 2015 Hope they post the interview online somewhere for us TV-less people. They'll post it on SN.ca and mlb.com Jays. You'll see it.
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted August 3, 2015 Posted August 3, 2015 .... the playoffs... will be easy..... to make....? Eastcoast lingered in here, from the OT forum, lol.
Followthelight Verified Member Posted August 3, 2015 Posted August 3, 2015 The first WC spot is right there for the taking. The division is, 13 games against then yanks, his team has the talent to do it.

nmrch Verified Member Posted August 3, 2015 Posted August 3, 2015 sure it would. 3-5 million TV viewers a night in the playoffs is an insane amount of TV revenue not to mention all of the other stuff. Yeah, its not so much as going deep into the playoffs as getting Rogers to see the market potential and in turn start investing more on the team. If the Jays have 10 sellouts and draw big numbers on TV in September than that will go a long way, an appearance in the ALDS is just gravy.
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted August 3, 2015 Posted August 3, 2015 Man these last 5 games have been Phenomenal.
BTS Community Moderator Posted August 3, 2015 Posted August 3, 2015 It's going to be really annoying reading for the next 2-3 months about how we should throw 230M at Price.
nmrch Verified Member Posted August 3, 2015 Posted August 3, 2015 The division is, 13 games against then yanks, his team has the talent to do it. They gotta go 10-3 or at worst 9-4 against the Yankees, need a lot of things to go our way.
Trouba95 Old-Timey Member Posted August 3, 2015 Posted August 3, 2015 I just hope we can bring this same game on the road. Great win!
Daniel Labude Jays Centre Contributor Posted August 3, 2015 Posted August 3, 2015 It's going to be really annoying reading for the next 2-3 months about how we should throw 230M at Price. Tampa Bay doesn't have that much money, but the Jays can and should throw a lot at him

Effit Old-Timey Member Posted August 3, 2015 Posted August 3, 2015 Another bonus, seeing Dozier shut down.. usually a thorn in our side.
bowld Verified Member Posted August 3, 2015 Posted August 3, 2015 Price just said this crowd and atmosphere was the most amazing he has ever played in front of. Said today topped his playoff games. That says a lot
Atothe Old-Timey Member Posted August 3, 2015 Posted August 3, 2015 It's going to be really annoying reading for the next 2-3 months about how we should throw 230M at Price. I'm with you, no big contract for him
BTS Community Moderator Posted August 3, 2015 Posted August 3, 2015 Tampa Bay doesn't have that much money, but the Jays can and should throw a lot at him No. These deals never work out. It's amazing that no matter how often 200+M mega deals blow up, fans continue to want their team to sign them. Can't we just enjoy him for the time he's here while recognizing that it's best to let some other team make the giant mistake?

Captain Adama Old-Timey Member Posted August 3, 2015 Posted August 3, 2015 Man, I'm not even upset about the Price trade at this point. Those highlights got me giddy.
