saskjayfan Old-Timey Member Posted August 3, 2015 Posted August 3, 2015 Seeing as I'm not employed by either team, I'm not sure what their perceived lack of success has to do with me. what are you talking about? What do you do let your rage out when the Jays start doing well other than make asinine comments about the Jays. Do you push little kids off their bikes..lol. You're going to lose it when the Jays are in the playoffs. I highly doubt you'll post under this screen name when they do, but you likely have other screen names you'll post under.
saskjayfan Old-Timey Member Posted August 3, 2015 Posted August 3, 2015 My issue with Volquez is he's a below average pitcher and he talks like he thinks he's Pedro f***ing Martinez. he definitely threw at him in the first, and deliberately threw inside in the 3rd although he may not have meant for the ball to be so high.

I questioned your decision to take the thread in this direction, but luckily the dum-dums came out to play. Quality work.

Why would I hesitate to post under this screen name? They stand a decent shot at the playoffs, and the only deadline move I didn't care for was Price.
closetjaysfan Verified Member Posted August 3, 2015 Posted August 3, 2015 My favorite thing about this whole thing is this: From Yost: "I thought Jim Wolf did a tremendous job understanding the game, understanding what's intentional," From Volquez: "He was crying like a baby [...] He can't take it. I don't know why. He hit a lot of homers in the first couple of games and he was pimping everything he does. Somebody hits you, you've got to take it, because you're pimping everything you do" So basically Yost is totally f***ing wrong because Volquez admits to throwing at Donaldson (twice) intentionally. Volquez should have been thrown out in the third inning. That probably would have ended the thing. You cant give both teams a warning then let the same pitcher throw up and in intentionally and get away with it.
BigBounceyBlueBalls Old-Timey Member Posted August 3, 2015 Posted August 3, 2015 Mods deliver the 3 for one kill shot... BTS, Boxy and GD looking for a time out. Please
Ehjays Verified Member Posted August 3, 2015 Posted August 3, 2015 That ump was brutal!!! Ok so he pitched JD high and in but he HIT Tulo, he should have been tossed. AND,,,How does he know that Sanchez had intent.

I used to respect you, but now you mean nothing to me.
TheHurl Site Manager Posted August 3, 2015 Posted August 3, 2015 Mods. We don't have a troll but a colossal douce here. douce do͞os/Submit adjective SCOTTISH sober, gentle, and sedate. How dare you call BTS sober. I won't stand for this.

nextyear Verified Member Posted August 3, 2015 Posted August 3, 2015 Tulowitzki was hit by a pitch and could have been lost if it had of fractured a bone in his hand. Donaldson had every reason to be angry, the Royals were throwing at his head. This is what Miami Marlin's Stanton looked like last year after being hit in the head (source: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2758919/Baseball-player-releases-shocking-photos-injuries-caused-fastball-face.html). Throwing at ones head shouldn't be part of baseball. http://i.dailymail.co.uk/i/pix/2014/09/17/1410932574948_wps_2_Marlins_Giancarlo_Stanton.jpg

Nobody should ever go for the head. That's insanity.

ElNik2013 Old-Timey Member Posted August 3, 2015 Posted August 3, 2015 You mean Stanton, I think. But yeah, this is crazy. Nobody should ever go for the head. That's insanity. Which is another reason Ned Yost is full of s*** when he claims they're just pitching inside. Those balls were aimed high.

Really wish he would've learned the lesson the hard way via the A's earlier this year.
thatoneguy Old-Timey Member Posted August 3, 2015 Posted August 3, 2015 By the way, Volquez was the one who tried to get in a cheap shot on Shark in the CWS/Royals brawl earlier this year, but failed. http://m.mlb.com/video/v86661883/kccws-tempers-flare-in-chicago-as-benches-clear About 2:33 in.

Jayday Verified Member Posted August 3, 2015 Posted August 3, 2015 The thing is, if Volquez got hit in the face with a 95 mph pitch, or a comebacker even, he might actually look a bit better! Oh so your another one... only concerned about how how a player looks. Every day another of your kind pops up.
BigBounceyBlueBalls Old-Timey Member Posted August 3, 2015 Posted August 3, 2015 Don't tell me what to do Ok then make me a Mod and I will do it for you !
Jayday Verified Member Posted August 3, 2015 Posted August 3, 2015 Volquez needs to spend more time worrying about his hairline than he does about what other players are doing on the field. A real man doesn't care about his hairline ..apparently your not one.

FrozenRopes Verified Member Posted August 3, 2015 Posted August 3, 2015 Meh, this is baseball. JD was bang on in his interview. Wolf lost his shirt today. One of the worst umpired games I have seen in some time. The Jays should have brought in someone for one pitch to Hosmer and put it right between the numbers. Great game and these kind of things can gel a team. Price should be amped tomorrow.
comeon sense Verified Member Posted August 3, 2015 Posted August 3, 2015 Oh Volquez, you are so brave, and fearless, and have so much guts. Maybe one day,you can pitch the way you do in the N.L.
nmrch Verified Member Posted August 3, 2015 Posted August 3, 2015 Ventura is the worst, a lot of this bickering and tough guy act is in good fun but Ventura is something else, he's only been around a couple of years but he's gotta be the most unlikable guy in Baseball right now. A-Rod and Ortiz at their peaks have nothing on this guy, the definition of a douche.
