TRM Verified Member Posted August 2, 2015 Posted August 2, 2015 (edited) Edinson Volquez ® vs RA Dickey ® Sunday, Aug 2 1:07 PM ET Lineups Blue Jays: 1. Tulowitzki SS 2. Donaldson 3B 3. Bautista RF 4. Encarnacion DH 5. Colabello 1B 6. Martin C 7. Pillar CF 8. Goins 2B 9. Revere LF Royals: 1. Alcides Escobar SS 2. Ben Zobrist LF 3. Lorenzo Cain CF 4. Eric Hosmer 1B 5. Kendrys Morales DH 6. Salvador Perez C 7. Alex Rios RF 8. Cuthbert 3B 9. Omar Infante 2B Game Preview by Min: Dickey has been decent lately. Volquez is a scrub. Jays got this. Yesterday sucked but if you told any of us ahead of the series we'd take 3/4 without Price we'd be happy. Don't be negative all the time. Solid lineup by Gibby today outside of Cola, but Smoak has been in a funk so it's ok. Revere at nine not leading off so everyone be chill. Let's give Lowe a second chance. He seems like a cool guy. Welcome mats available so this might be a sellout. Price tomorrow, much excitement. Boxy sucks at fantasy sports. Eric Hosmer is awesome. Guys, Troy Tulowtizki and David Price are Toronto Blue Jays...! LET'S GO BLUE JAYS! Edited August 2, 2015 by TRM

HERPDERP Old-Timey Member Posted August 2, 2015 Posted August 2, 2015 Jays don't got this if Dickey goes to s*** again. He hasn't done nearly enough to warrant that I'm comfortable.
L54 Old-Timey Member Posted August 2, 2015 Posted August 2, 2015 Honestly, f*** off Colabello. Your ascent from Indy Ball was a cool story at the beginning of the year. In the middle of a Wild Card chase I couldn't give anymore of a f*** where you came from, especially after dumping Valencia in favour of you. It's also embarrassing the Gibbons continues to hit him in front of Martin. I guess we need those good tall power hitterz 3/4/5!
jays4life19 Old-Timey Member Posted August 2, 2015 Posted August 2, 2015 Nice GDT. I have a good feeling about today.

JaysAllMighty Old-Timey Member Posted August 2, 2015 Posted August 2, 2015 If Dickey can give us another outing like his last game we'll have no problems. Dumping Valencia, dumb move. Why does AA feels the need to do something stupid?
Followthelight Verified Member Posted August 2, 2015 Posted August 2, 2015 Colabello still too high in the lineup and hitting ahead of Martin. A team managed by Gibbons alright.

Why does AA feels the need to do something stupid? That really is an asinine move, makes no sense. Danny V is a perfect good bench bat.

nextyear Verified Member Posted August 2, 2015 Posted August 2, 2015 It is good to see Tulowitzki back in the lineup. They have most of their big guns in the lineup. I am hoping to see Ben Revere get on base so I can see his speed on the bases. The Blue Jays need to continue to get the 7, 8 and 9 hitters on base so that the big guns at the top of the order can drive them in. Probably the key to victory will be a strong outing by Dickey, unless the Blue Jays score 10 runs. I predict a win by the Blue Jays by a 8 - 4 score. However, I always expect the Blue Jays to win; that is why it is so disappointing when they lose. I am also really upset to see Danny Valencia go.
JamesFord92 Verified Member Posted August 2, 2015 Posted August 2, 2015 Happy that Revere is batting 9th instead of Goins. Makes more sense to have him hitting in front of Tulo/Donaldson/JB
Followthelight Verified Member Posted August 2, 2015 Posted August 2, 2015 yEsterday was a momentum killer, really need to win this one to gain it back.

I guess we need those good tall power hitterz 3/4/5! well, yeah, Colabello is a fringe guy who's been swinging a lucky magic wand this season but the way Smoak is hyped on here you'd think he's the second coming of Lou Gehrig ... makes little difference who's hitting 5th & 6th ... actually makes sense to put the two slow guys (Edwino & Cola) back to back and the two better runners together (Martin & Pilar.)

He's been beat up all year, but he's a warrior. I would bat martin in front of cola, but the world isn't coming to an end...mushroom man is going to have a good game..

TheHurl Site Manager Posted August 2, 2015 Posted August 2, 2015 Edinson Volquez ® vs RA Dickey (L) Does Dickey have a UCL in the left arm. Smart people become dumm when they venture to the GDT...and Min wasn't smart when he started.

DickeyJohnsonWang Verified Member Posted August 2, 2015 Posted August 2, 2015 yo, other than the cololabelo batting in front of martin thing, I'm happy with tulo leading off and revere in the 9 spot where most of us wanted him. gona need the bats today lets get the series win!!!
DickeyJohnsonWang Verified Member Posted August 2, 2015 Posted August 2, 2015 how does lineup look with travis back in it, travis 8 revere 9?
CrackerJack Verified Member Posted August 2, 2015 Posted August 2, 2015 how does lineup look with travis back in it, travis 8 revere 9? Travis likely is the lead off guy next year ... for the stretch run the bottom of my order would be Travis/Pilar/Revere.

jaysfan2014 Old-Timey Member Posted August 2, 2015 Posted August 2, 2015 Win today and we're in decent shape heading into two big series vs. the Twins and Yankees. Of course, some help from Seattle and Chicago would help..
Followthelight Verified Member Posted August 2, 2015 Posted August 2, 2015 well, yeah, Colabello is a fringe guy who's been swinging a lucky magic wand this season but the way Smoak is hyped on here you'd think he's the second coming of Lou Gehrig ... makes little difference who's hitting 5th & 6th ... actually makes sense to put the two slow guys (Edwino & Cola) back to back and the two better runners together (Martin & Pilar.) Smoak has huge holes in his swing, but at least he plays good D, colabello is terrible defensively.
