Sammy225 Old-Timey Member Posted July 31, 2015 Posted July 31, 2015 Cola is a nice bench piece, depth. For years we have been saying we need depth now we have it. Keep him. Having Smoak and Cola on bench is kinda like Tabby and Mulliniks back in da day Why would you want two guys who truly are first baseman (Bello is not an outfielder no matter how you slice it) for late in games..... Bad roster management
reedjohnsonfan Verified Member Posted July 31, 2015 Posted July 31, 2015 So who's the odd one out? Carrera?
King Old-Timey Member Posted July 31, 2015 Posted July 31, 2015 Did we just add Jose Reyes back into the lineup (with a different name, plays OF, and is defensively better)? So in another words.. not jose reyes Gotcha

KingKat Old-Timey Member Posted July 31, 2015 Posted July 31, 2015 Did we just add Jose Reyes back into the lineup (with a different name, plays OF, and is defensively better)? Probably fine with batting at the back of the lineup too.
baubau Verified Member Posted July 31, 2015 Posted July 31, 2015 If it's for Pompey or Alford I'll rage. I know we're in the All in mind set but I've got the, hey there is the future still, mindset.
TwistedLogic Old-Timey Member Posted July 31, 2015 Author Posted July 31, 2015 If they gave up Alford or Pompey for Revere, I'll lol so hard.
jays76 Verified Member Posted July 31, 2015 Posted July 31, 2015 Colabello is regressing as expected. Those PAs need to start going to Smoak. I agree but I still want him there in case we need a late game pinch hit on occasion.
baloojayz Verified Member Posted July 31, 2015 Posted July 31, 2015 If we give up anything significant it's stupid IMO. I would have much rather Pompey up What is with all the hate? The guy is very solid. Pompey is still figuring out AAA look at that BABIP.
DuckDuckGose Verified Member Posted July 31, 2015 Posted July 31, 2015 i am expecting Alford or Pompey or DJ Davis going...... Revere isnt a rental right DJ Davis and someone like Andy Burns would make sense.
baubau Verified Member Posted July 31, 2015 Posted July 31, 2015 i am expecting Alford or Pompey or DJ Davis going...... Revere isnt a rental right One of those isn't like the other.
Brownie19 Old-Timey Member Posted July 31, 2015 Posted July 31, 2015 He brings speed to the base paths that we lost in Reyes. I like the move assuming we didnt give up much I agree with this. I was thinking we really have little to no team speed after losing Reyes. This is solid IMO, but the team must hate Pompey....
Brownie19 Old-Timey Member Posted July 31, 2015 Posted July 31, 2015 i am expecting Alford or Pompey or DJ Davis going...... Revere isnt a rental right He is a rental isn't he?
Sammy225 Old-Timey Member Posted July 31, 2015 Posted July 31, 2015 He is a rental isn't he? Controlled till 2017
GD Old-Timey Member Posted July 31, 2015 Posted July 31, 2015 Revere has two more years after this. I'm expecting Reid-Foley on the high end, Hollon/Greene on the low end.
bronson44 Verified Member Posted July 31, 2015 Posted July 31, 2015 He is a rental isn't he? Controllable through 2017 I believe
jays76 Verified Member Posted July 31, 2015 Posted July 31, 2015 AA is an all-star. He's done everything possible for the Jays. Even if we don't make the playoffs he should stay I would never complain but I kind of wish we had gotten Parra and the O's got Revere.
TwistedLogic Old-Timey Member Posted July 31, 2015 Author Posted July 31, 2015 Somebody who shall not be named just tweeted that "multiple industry sources are questioning if Revere has been dealt to the Jays".
Sammy225 Old-Timey Member Posted July 31, 2015 Posted July 31, 2015 I would never complain but I kind of wish we had gotten Parra and the O's got Revere. I expect Parra to regress he is playing well over his head
JaysRap Verified Member Posted July 31, 2015 Posted July 31, 2015 My guess is it's for DJ Davis. Side note: Maybe Revere bats lead off until Travis comes off the DL
baloojayz Verified Member Posted July 31, 2015 Posted July 31, 2015 If they gave up Alford or Pompey for Revere, I'll lol so hard. How much better than Revere do you expect Pompey to be?
TwistedLogic Old-Timey Member Posted July 31, 2015 Author Posted July 31, 2015 If they wanted Revere, they should have just picked up Rajai as part of an extension of the Price trade.
TRM Verified Member Posted July 31, 2015 Posted July 31, 2015 How much better than Revere do you expect Pompey to be? Approx half a win.
guylaroche5 Verified Member Posted July 31, 2015 Posted July 31, 2015 Somebody who shall not be named just tweeted that "multiple industry sources are questioning if Revere has been dealt to the Jays". bowden? everyone else is usually pretty good
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted July 31, 2015 Posted July 31, 2015 He is a rental isn't he? No man, he's arb eligible for the next two years.
reedjohnsonfan Verified Member Posted July 31, 2015 Posted July 31, 2015 If they wanted Revere, they should have just picked up Rajai as part of an extension of the Price trade. Why? Revere is a better player and makes a little bit less. Also hits left handed.
bronson44 Verified Member Posted July 31, 2015 Posted July 31, 2015 If they wanted Revere, they should have just picked up Rajai as part of an extension of the Price trade. We needed a lefty bat more
RIPEXPOS Verified Member Posted July 31, 2015 Posted July 31, 2015 I think hes gonna cost more than alot of you think. Hoping we didn't deal Alford for him.
Brownie19 Old-Timey Member Posted July 31, 2015 Posted July 31, 2015 Revere has two more years after this. I'm expecting Reid-Foley on the high end, Hollon/Greene on the low end.
Atothe Old-Timey Member Posted July 31, 2015 Posted July 31, 2015 As long as Alford, Pompey, Urena, Pimp-Foley and Tellez aren't involved I'm good
