Angrioter Old-Timey Member Posted July 30, 2015 Author Posted July 30, 2015 Our lineup smashes that lineup. Are you sure? Keuchel says NO

admin Site Manager Posted July 30, 2015 Posted July 30, 2015 Astros are garbage, they won't make the playoffs, you heard it here first!

jaysfan2014 Old-Timey Member Posted July 30, 2015 Posted July 30, 2015 And the Mets look like idiots letting Carlos Gomez go elsewhere.
Nafro Verified Member Posted July 30, 2015 Posted July 30, 2015 brett phillips is Trou-lite and Hader underrated I think Brett Phillips is going to be a player.
Angrioter Old-Timey Member Posted July 31, 2015 Author Posted July 31, 2015 Mike Fiers with fire --> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RxXy2_tcebI
Abomination Old-Timey Member Posted July 31, 2015 Posted July 31, 2015 I'd say the Brewers got bent over in that trade... badly. Some of the guys coming back might have some potential, but if you're dealing away good guys with control and good contracts, you should really expect more.
HERPDERP Old-Timey Member Posted July 31, 2015 Posted July 31, 2015 seeing this return I regret the Price trade.
TwistedLogic Old-Timey Member Posted July 31, 2015 Posted July 31, 2015 Fans of every team seem to be universally lauding the Brewers for the return they got in this trade, and there are a lot of upset Astros fans. What am I missing?

Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted July 31, 2015 Posted July 31, 2015 Are you sure? Keuchel says NO And what's Price Ang? Stop being dumn.
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted July 31, 2015 Posted July 31, 2015 Jesus, that's bad. Gomez and Fiers aren't even rentals. Melvin got bent over, the Stros are really good.
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted July 31, 2015 Posted July 31, 2015 I think Brett Phillips is going to be a player. He's the only player that stands out to be honest, that deal was horribad.
AdamGreenwood Old-Timey Member Posted July 31, 2015 Posted July 31, 2015 Seeing how the Dodgers and Astros got multiple controllable pieces for their prospects, and their prospects weren't as good as Norris, it kind of makes you wonder why we spent so much to acquire Price for two months. I guess the assumption is that we wiin the wildcard, and have Price pitching for us in that game. It will be nice to have an ace in the postseason.
DuckDuckGose Verified Member Posted July 31, 2015 Posted July 31, 2015 Brett Phillips is pretty awesome and his legal middle name is Maverick. He's basically Anthony Alford but slightly further along the development track. Surprised the Jays weren't in at that price(or maybe they were and we just didn't hear about it)

Ya, seems like the Jays ovrepaid a bit to get an ace for the play-in. It's going ot hurt if they don't make it but if they do having Price is going to be be very helpful.
