Thanks for posting the projections based on winning percentage for 19 days in august. It's interesting.

 

The games another animal after call ups and I would put up Buck's ability to get the most out of what he has to work with against any manager.

Come on, as much as I hate the O's and their fanbase, most of them were pretty realistic, even more so then what most of us would have been. Only that one guy was pretty extreme.

I agree, they were pretty self deprecating and blunt about their playoff odds. There wasn't really much there..

I think that fading dot in the rear view mirror is the Baltimore Orioles. Maybe there should be a thread about the Texas Rangers instead.

 

I'm still worried about the Orioles. The offense is still good.

They have a terribly hard schedule to try and navigate to get back into things. Royals and Rangers this week which will either keep them a float or sink them IMO. Followed by the Rays who are no pushovers.

Yeah, I just think we should be striving for more mentions in that thread. Hope we get some obnoxious fans down there for our next trip to Baltimore, though whoever goes down there runs the risk of getting mugged after the game. Or Macado throwing a bat at them.

How is that OH thread any different than this thread? Kind of hypocritical to mock them for disliking our fanbase when we have a whole thread devoted to denigrating their fanbase.

I think this thread is designed more for the bashing of that forum, not necessarily their fanbase. They delete any new memberships that are outside the states of Maryland, Virginia, West Virginia and anything else that could be O's territory. They think Buck Showalter has some holy water he can just sprinkle on his players that make the O's win more games. One poster there even wants Buck as GM. That line of thinking goes hand in hand with their lack of analytical use to evaluate palyers.

 

I'll be the first to admit I don't know too much about the advanced stats, but I keep my mouth shut and don't pretend to know more than I do. That's why I like reading the saber posters here and articles to learn more about the sport.

 

No one fanbase can hold their head above another. There are ******* fans and ******* players everywhere. But that forum is a hole for a few different reasons and we all know it. Hence this thread.
