I don't understand why it matters either way. The Blue Jays as currently constructed are a better team than any the Orioles have put on the field in recent seasons. This is a great team and Blue Jays fans should be proud of it.

 

I agree regardless, I've just always felt buying championships should be referred to those signing players to 7+ years at ridiculous AAV so no one else has the opportunity to even make an offer. Most teams could afford half a year of Price if they were willing to deal their prospects.

Buying is done through free-agency during the offseason.

Trading is done by hard work by hiring scouts and scouring the world for talent. Then drafting them and developing them for a few years.

Once they have developed to a desirable commodity they are then an asset in which you can barter with other teams.

AA has done a great job with scouting and developing the raw talent and using these players to build the team not buy the team!

 

I and totally understand your frustration with this being a Baltimore fan when even when after AA traded away these higher echelon prospects

the Jays minor leagues is still probably better stocked than the Orioles systems.

 

Oh well...time to put on your drool bib!
