o2cui2i Community Moderator Posted July 29, 2015 Posted July 29, 2015 Why wouldn't the deciding run in a 3-2 loss to the Phillies be the ******** Howard fair-hit call? why didn't the jays challenge the call? How did Joe "fat f***" West not get the umps together and get help?
jaysfan2014 Old-Timey Member Posted July 29, 2015 Posted July 29, 2015 Team responds to trade, by pretty much getting shut down by the phils. Nice. How do you think the Cubs felt? They were swept by them.
intentional wok Old-Timey Member Posted July 29, 2015 Posted July 29, 2015 Free thanks to anyone who gives me a summary of what happened the last 2 innings. As much nothing as you can imagine. Bautista swings and looks as if his hamstring tightens up. Hendriks pitches two clean innings. Edwin has a solid AB vs Giles for a single bloop. Cola and Martin each fly out deep. Valencia grounds to end it.

TwistedLogic Old-Timey Member Posted July 29, 2015 Author Posted July 29, 2015 why didn't the jays challenge the call? How did Joe "fat f***" West not get the umps together and get help? Because in MLB's very contemporary rules, you can't challenge fair/foul calls on balls hit in the infield. Because logic.
o2cui2i Community Moderator Posted July 29, 2015 Posted July 29, 2015 Would've gotten Gibbons ejected. Fair/foul calls, unless it's a HR, are not reviewable. actually they can challenge whether it hit the batter. edit: Umps have the right to get together and get it right as well.
intentional wok Old-Timey Member Posted July 29, 2015 Posted July 29, 2015 Because in MLB's very contemporary rules, you can't challenge fair/foul calls on balls hit in the infield. Because logic. The rule is BS, but what's worse is that none of the four umps saw it. Like, what are the even looking at if not the only moving parts on the diamond? Also, Joe West is not easy to look at.
jaysfan2014 Old-Timey Member Posted July 29, 2015 Posted July 29, 2015 Seriously, the Yankees are just destroying the Rangers.. 15-5 now. At least we actually pitched tonight.. the Rangers are just seeing their pitching staff get trashed.
o2cui2i Community Moderator Posted July 29, 2015 Posted July 29, 2015 we could be back 10 games by the end of the month.
jaysfan2014 Old-Timey Member Posted July 29, 2015 Posted July 29, 2015 Yanks now up 15-5. Gee...I wonder what it feels like to have a good team. Every team has won our division over the last how ever many years except for us. So devastated after tonight. Tampa and Baltimore are in the same boat as we are. And don't get me started on Detroit.. they should be definite sellers there.
jaysfan2014 Old-Timey Member Posted July 29, 2015 Posted July 29, 2015 we could be back 10 games by the end of the month. As will the rest of the AL East.. Yanks are just running away with it.
nonamejays Verified Member Posted July 29, 2015 Posted July 29, 2015 Am I alone when I say the playoffs are a pipe dream now? They were a pipe dream before, and are virtually non-existent now. The only way it would be a possibility is if the Jays were to get two good pitchers between now and the weekend. The odds on that are so slim it's almost not worth discussing.
o2cui2i Community Moderator Posted July 29, 2015 Posted July 29, 2015 Wishing death on someone is a terrible thing I just wish he'd be forced into retirement.

Because I don't want to come to this board tomorrow evening and see that we've lost a handful of posters to self inflicted injuries, here:
nextyear Verified Member Posted July 29, 2015 Posted July 29, 2015 This is only one loss. Now the Blue Jays need to get hot and win a few games in a row.

LTR Verified Member Posted July 29, 2015 Posted July 29, 2015 "For those of you who actually care" No need to be such a whiny bitch Bautista. Yeah, what is with that s***?
jays4life19 Old-Timey Member Posted July 29, 2015 Posted July 29, 2015 Glad to hear Joey Bats is okay.
intentional wok Old-Timey Member Posted July 29, 2015 Posted July 29, 2015 Yeah, what is with that s***? He's a master of understatement. He knows there are grown men out there whose mental health hinges on his own physical health.
LTR Verified Member Posted July 29, 2015 Posted July 29, 2015 This team is still cursed though. This game was supposed to be an automatic win. Any performance boost we gained with Tulo was just lost when Travis got reinjured. And just to top things off, Yankees down 0-5 in the first and come back with 11 runs in the next inning... figures.
nextyear Verified Member Posted July 29, 2015 Posted July 29, 2015 It sounds like Bautista is just being humble.
o2cui2i Community Moderator Posted July 29, 2015 Posted July 29, 2015 I hate baseball liar.... lol we feel your pain.
pickoff22 Verified Member Posted July 29, 2015 Posted July 29, 2015 Baseball is such a funny sport, you feel on cloud nine as a fan one day and after 1 loss feel like the season's over. This was a terrible loss, but let's not lose sight of the fact of how many 3 (or 4 if Minny wins) deficits have been made up in much less than 60 games. It's not the end of the world, but it sure feels like more than the Tulo trade is needed
jaysfan2014 Old-Timey Member Posted July 29, 2015 Posted July 29, 2015 If the Twins lose tonight, it won't matter. Pittsburgh just took the lead. And good to see Bautista is fine.. I pretty much thought it was a cramp, because of the heat in Toronto. Still waiting on Travis.. will we see Kawasaki or Burns come up?
jaysfan2014 Old-Timey Member Posted July 29, 2015 Posted July 29, 2015 Detroit getting stung by the Rays. Looks like you can add the Tigers to the sellers column..
glory Old-Timey Member Posted July 29, 2015 Posted July 29, 2015 Score two runs agains the f***ing Phillies: blame the umpire for a mistake that only cost them one baserunner in the game. Nevermind that Doubront couldn't get an out after that happened and the team could get barely get a baserunner for most of the game.
LTR Verified Member Posted July 29, 2015 Posted July 29, 2015 Team never scores any runs when it matters. #BlowJays
