jaysblue Old-Timey Member Posted July 28, 2015 Posted July 28, 2015 Better Zobrist going to KC over the Yankees at least. Wonder what the Royals gave up...
baubau Verified Member Posted July 28, 2015 Posted July 28, 2015 KC is really pushing for it, damn. Get er done in the offseason AA to get ZoZo for LF and Infield backup!
HERPDERP Old-Timey Member Posted July 28, 2015 Posted July 28, 2015 As long as it didn't go to any of the AL wild card teams, I'm happy.

TheHurl Site Manager Posted July 28, 2015 Posted July 28, 2015 so much love for Zorilla. Still want to see him watching the ALCS at home
Angrioter Old-Timey Member Posted July 28, 2015 Posted July 28, 2015 Royals on fire http://media.giphy.com/media/4eyseE4ikYPp6/giphy.gif
TwistedLogic Old-Timey Member Posted July 28, 2015 Posted July 28, 2015 Trade is for Brooks and Manaea.
TwistedLogic Old-Timey Member Posted July 28, 2015 Posted July 28, 2015 So the Royals grab Cueto and have him in line to make his first Royals start against the Jays in their upcoming 4-game series. The Jays then pull in Tulowitzki, and the Royals immediately counter with Zobrist. Both of those guys should also be ready to play in that series. Jays vs Royals shaping up to be a trade deadline showcase.
pickoff22 Verified Member Posted July 28, 2015 Posted July 28, 2015 Royals are sure trading away their prospects for a couple rentals.

HERPDERP Old-Timey Member Posted July 28, 2015 Posted July 28, 2015 I think it's pretty darn clear now we're gonna have to get Price and Cespedes.
LTR Verified Member Posted July 28, 2015 Posted July 28, 2015 I think it's pretty darn clear now we're gonna have to get Price and Cespedes. Don't need Cesp, got Pompey
DickeyJohnsonWang Verified Member Posted July 28, 2015 Posted July 28, 2015 definitely looking forward to Friday's game now with all these new pieces
HERPDERP Old-Timey Member Posted July 28, 2015 Posted July 28, 2015 Don't need Cesp, got Pompey In order to get Price/Cespedes we'll have to give Pompey. Although I'm unsure of what we would have to give up for just Cespedes.
baubau Verified Member Posted July 28, 2015 Posted July 28, 2015 Trade is for Brooks and Manaea. Manaea? Wow that is pretty solid for a UFA/rental. I would have thought it was Starling.
Atothe Old-Timey Member Posted July 28, 2015 Posted July 28, 2015 Man the royals farm system was barren before the trade but now its downright empty other then Raul mondesi jr
TheHurl Site Manager Posted July 28, 2015 Posted July 28, 2015 Royals are sure trading away their prospects for a couple rentals. Zorilla will sign there, this was known when he was in Tampa.
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted July 28, 2015 Posted July 28, 2015 The Royals are doing the opposite of the Jays. Overpay for rentals!
Trouba95 Old-Timey Member Posted July 28, 2015 Posted July 28, 2015 On this homestand, we need to sweep Phils, split KC, win 3/4 from Twins...7/10
TheHurl Site Manager Posted July 28, 2015 Posted July 28, 2015 I would have thought it was Starling. Cause the A's wouldn't look at the same medical reports as the Reds did?
TheHurl Site Manager Posted July 28, 2015 Posted July 28, 2015 The Royals are doing the opposite of the Jays. Overpay for rentals! wouldn't the opposite of the Jays be the Rockies?
Angrioter Old-Timey Member Posted July 28, 2015 Posted July 28, 2015 Royals are sure trading away their prospects for a couple rentals. "The flags fly forever" Royals are very good at baseball, and they want to win now
Trouba95 Old-Timey Member Posted July 28, 2015 Posted July 28, 2015 What's the projected win total for the 2nd WC? Just trying to figure what we'll need to go. How about 86-87? If so, we need to go 37-25.
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted July 28, 2015 Posted July 28, 2015 wouldn't the opposite of the Jays be the Rockies? Rockies pre-Tulo trade, then yeah probably.
TwistedLogic Old-Timey Member Posted July 28, 2015 Posted July 28, 2015 Giolito, Hoffman, Manaea -- all guys that dropped considerably in the draft because of "injury concerns". One is now the #1 prospect in baseball, the other two have just brought back Ben Zobrist and Troy Tulowitzki.

pickoff22 Verified Member Posted July 28, 2015 Posted July 28, 2015 "The flags fly forever" Royals are very good at baseball, and they want to win now They are and they do, at a very steep cost. For a team with payroll restrictions who has to rely on their farm system, I'm surprised.
