Where else is Navarro supposed to play when he does?

Very elaborate troll, or...?

Navarro should not be at DH or on the field at all. He sucks.

Sarcasm, but in reality, I was just using Gibby's logic. Wins and clutchness. So much better than Farrell and KC's manager.

Bo Schultz. 7th inning. 1 run lead. Blows lead. Allowed to face 6 batters (and counting).

Boxcar's explanation here would be lovely, in addition to his defense of why CC/Navarro were playing instead of Carrera with CC at DH.

Going with Schultz is a real puzzler.

Not really. Gibbons did what Incompetent people do. They use small sample size to judge (2 innings pitch). He went with his guts. He is not a good manager. Never has been. Never will be.

Gibbons constantly putting Osuno in 3-5 run leads (3 run lead in the previous game) and put f***ing Bo Schultz in a 1 run lead in 7th the next day.

To be honest Gibbons has been FAR WORSE than Farrell when managing the bullpen.

He made a pretty questionable move. I agree with you on CC/Navarro but I doubt there's much of a tangible difference between those two options.

Not his best moment but managers make really bad decisions all the time. Not a like this is strictly a Gibbons problem.

See guys this guy is going to reach 500 wins despite never being a winning manager. he is not a good manager. He has been given some great teams in the past and failed constantly, not to mention failed in the same way. Yet he was rehired to do a job, he had already failed at once, and is constantly bailed out by management.

I'm surprised you love Gibby so much, for a guy who tries to pick apart Sanchez on every small detail.

Yes, managers do make mistakes over the course of a season, but this is a trend with Gibbons. Whether it's Francis in a close game, or Schultz, or Tepera, or whoever. He either abuses Osuna, or when he can't, he'll bring in his 7th reliever in the same situation. It doesn't make any sense.

He is s*** when it comes to managing a bullpen (and a lineup, and a defense, and practically everything else other than making people laugh in media sessions).

So you are saying John Gibbons is no different than Cito Gaston, Joe Torre, Dusty Baker and John Farrell?

I'd fire Beeston first, then AA, then the GM would likely get rid of the manager anyway, but the last 3 games was pretty bad bullpen management.

I bet Cito never went hmmmmm ward and henke in the pen, better put that AAA scrub in a one run game.

When did Cito put his best reliever when he had a 3, 4 or 5 run lead in previous games and then put some scrub in a high leverage 1 run inning in the 7th in the following?

Yeah, every small detail like his overall season performance and game to game trends, no big deal

He didn't. He actually allowed players to play their role, and didn't except AAA scrubs to become elite relievers after 2 innings pitched to the twins.

Pretty much, though Dusty Baker's opinions on hitting would drive me crazy. I'd rather have Gibbons than any of those guys but the results wouldn't be much different at the end of the day.

Gibbons sure has been terrible. For all the hate on Farrell, sad to say, Gibbons has been worse with also more talent to work with.

Sanchez hasn't even played a full season in the majors. Gibby's underperformed the last two years

No, the Toronto Blue Jays baseball club has not been good the past two years.

I really think you're forgetting how bad Farrell was

He took a team with the best pitching staff in baseball to a sub-.500 record in 2008 before he was fired.

Now he's taking a team with close to if not the best hitting in baseball to a sub-.500 record in 2015.

Dude is as replaceable and s***** as they come.

So you agree that the club hasn't been good, but you don't agree with changing anything?

He's saying changing the manager won't make much of a difference.

What? I've been calling for AA and Beeston's heads for like 3 years. They are the actual people responsible for supplying Gibby with s***** players.

Firing Gibbons is just a placebo effect for people who don't seem to understand what's going on.

A manager who uses his best relievers in the most important spots, and his worst relievers in the least important spots, would make a difference.

A manager who doesn't play a DH in the outfield when the rotation is filled with flyball pitchers (other than Sanchez) would make a difference.

You don't fire the President and GM first.
