Caper Verified Member Posted September 1, 2015 Posted September 1, 2015 I would hate my sister for doing that. She did get a ball signed by all the players there minus Josh Donaldson.... Also, she is 7 months pregnant and Buck told her if the baby is born on Nov.7 she has to name the baby Buck.

King Old-Timey Member Posted September 1, 2015 Posted September 1, 2015 Marcus Stroman interview with Jesse Goldberg-Strassler (Lansing Lugnuts radio guy)
King Old-Timey Member Posted September 1, 2015 Posted September 1, 2015 Drinking game: Everytime Stroman says "man" in that interview, take a drink. He sounds more like a huge fan of the team rather than a player, at the end of the interview when he's listing off all the players on the team and getting super excited.
HERPDERP Old-Timey Member Posted September 1, 2015 Posted September 1, 2015 Its refreshing to have a player that is real good and has a great personality who genuinely loves this team. Compared to a guy like, JD, Tulo or Bautista, all of whom seem 100% business, its nice to have the young guys bring in some enthusiasm. Even Revere is a likeable guy cause he's so energetic.

It's part of what makes him so relatable. He's really a delightful media personality in addition to being a great player.
Brownie19 Old-Timey Member Posted September 1, 2015 Posted September 1, 2015 Don't look now but Goins has put up a 1.2 WAR in 317 PA's while cast off Reyes put up 1.0 WAR in his 311 PA's with the Jays before being traded.

Tulo at 1.3 WAR while struggling at the plate. Defense has been so so good.

I've always said that Goins would figure it out at the dish. He has looked like a completely different player in the 2nd half. Smart players figure things out, and you can tell by how he plays D that he's cerebral. He might stick.

I would be quite happy to be proven wrong about Goins. If he can keep up this magical "taking a walk" thing that he's discovered, I'd be happy to keep him around.
Good Looking Receiver Verified Member Posted September 1, 2015 Posted September 1, 2015 Thinking about some things right now Obviously price is our ace so in a wildcard game, we play price however lets say we make the ALDS #1 Price #2?? I feel like this is MB's job to lose, and he has pitched strong this year so hes our #2 #3 - this is the problem right now Dickey has pitched better since June but recent starts haven't been that promising. I like the "knuckleball effect" on oppposing lineups but he is somewhat a screwball, not very trustworthy Estrada - good all year, but again its estrada. I hate to say this but i feel like he can regress at any time, he has a good changeup but lacks other it factors. im not sure i give him the job over dickey Hutch - pitched much better as of late but this year he has been prone to blowups. if he continues this hot streak i feel he COULD be our #3 in the playoffs, unless that happens can't see him as a productive choice Anyone else have preferences/reasons for rotation this fall
Good Looking Receiver Verified Member Posted September 1, 2015 Posted September 1, 2015 Welcome to the board, fab 2nd post. You'll go far. MJ Dogg Whoever u r Lol im honestly not a troll, i won't lie i use to post on the old blue jays forum under various troll accounts because i found it amusing how bullflustered people got over dumb s*** but that was back in high school. Im 22 now and just want to talk BEISBOL, i have other commitments in my life I may not know as much about sabremetrics as others here but im trying seriously though, whos your #3
polar bear Verified Member Posted September 1, 2015 Posted September 1, 2015 Tulo at 1.3 WAR while struggling at the plate. Defense has been so so good. Goins making him look pretty good.

Good Looking Receiver Verified Member Posted September 1, 2015 Posted September 1, 2015 Sell high this off season?? always depends what you can get, no one is really untouchable i mean when travis comes back he is not going to have a starting job, so his value to us wont be as high (then again tulo/travis are injury prone so he could be an asset)
Good Looking Receiver Verified Member Posted September 1, 2015 Posted September 1, 2015 Holy s*** im looking at the schedule and 26 of the last 29 games are against the ALE (including the last 16) im kinda worried because you know these teams are gonna want to play spoiler against us more than say detroit also our last 7 games are on the road

jaysfan2014 Old-Timey Member Posted September 1, 2015 Posted September 1, 2015 Jays lineup for 9/1: 1. Ben Revere (L) LF 2. Josh Donaldson ® 3B 3. Jose Bautista ® RF 4. Edwin Encarnacion ® DH 5. Troy Tulowitzki ® SS 6. Justin Smoak (S) 1B 7. Dioner Navarro (S) C 8. Kevin Pillar ® CF 9. Ryan Goins (L) 2B
Laika Community Moderator Posted September 1, 2015 Posted September 1, 2015 Ryan Goins might be my new favourite Blue Jay. When you combine that sweet defense with a mature, patient approach at the dish, he's easy to like. Do they even make Goins jerseys? I wonder what they could trade Travis for in the offseason...
