Chance for 4 abv avg or better pitches, creeps up to 94-95: http://bit.ly/1PeiU26 Al Skorupa @alskor 28s28 seconds ago Harris a very good value for Jays. Not a front end arm, but he can be a successful big league starter.
HERPDERP Old-Timey Member Posted June 9, 2015 Posted June 9, 2015 Any signability concerns? He's 21, so that's a senior right? No leverage?
Atothe Old-Timey Member Posted June 9, 2015 Posted June 9, 2015 Taylor Blake Ward @TaylorBlakeWard 23s23 seconds ago Harris is MLB style pitcher; sinker is filthy and creates loads of ground balls, CH, SL, CV at +, Toronto made a big steal again smh lord
King Old-Timey Member Posted June 9, 2015 Posted June 9, 2015 Brian Sakowski @B_Sakowski_PG 38s38 seconds ago Jon Harris fell a bit more than most expected, and there are a few concerns, but hard to say Jays didn't get a potential steal there.
SantosLHalper21 Verified Member Posted June 9, 2015 Posted June 9, 2015 What a steal. All we have to do now is sign the guy. I was hoping we'd go after Cameron and possibly package Boyd+Pompey+more for a legit #1-2 starter, but getting Jon Harris will do. Hutchison Sanchez Osuna Norris Castro Boyd Hoffman Harris I think I'm missing a ton of guys.
L54 Old-Timey Member Posted June 9, 2015 Posted June 9, 2015 Glad to see the positive reception from the board on this pick.
King Old-Timey Member Posted June 9, 2015 Posted June 9, 2015 Aaron Fitt @aaronfitt 2m2 minutes ago I would have taken Jon Harris ahead of Buehler, Kaprielian and a bunch more. Got feel for 4 legit pitches, and still has projection too. Chris Crawford @CrawfordChrisV 17s18 seconds ago @aaronfitt I do wonder how much that last start against Arkansas hurt him, but if that's what caused him to drop? That's pretty silly.

StevieRay Verified Member Posted June 9, 2015 Posted June 9, 2015 Just curious... does anyone know what determines the order of all the compensation picks?
awsomest Verified Member Posted June 9, 2015 Posted June 9, 2015 why the hell do the cardinals have a competitive balance pick??
ace3113 Verified Member Posted June 9, 2015 Posted June 9, 2015 I going to guess Juan Hillman if he makes it to our 2nd rounder.
Daniel Labude Jays Centre Contributor Posted June 9, 2015 Posted June 9, 2015 So are we thinking Harris is an advanced pitcher in terms of development....start out in AA, possible September callup?
Angrioter Old-Timey Member Posted June 9, 2015 Posted June 9, 2015 Good family man, works hard, a baseball type guy, and most importantly loves the game of baseball. A great pick. Beisbol is hard, but Jon Harris is a ballplayer.
King Old-Timey Member Posted June 9, 2015 Posted June 9, 2015 So are we thinking Harris is an advanced pitcher in terms of development....start out in AA, possible September callup? Barely anyone starts in AA. He'll likely throw a few innings in the GCL, and then bump him up to Vancouver (or may just send him straight to Vancouver). If they think he's advanced enough they may send him to Dunedin.
