LTR Verified Member Posted July 7, 2015 Author Posted July 7, 2015 3 misplays in a 1-run game vs Sale... Completely unacceptable
LTR Verified Member Posted July 7, 2015 Author Posted July 7, 2015 Also the 3rd game of the season that Reyes has cost is single handedly
Deadpool Old-Timey Member Posted July 7, 2015 Posted July 7, 2015 3 misplays in a 1-run game vs Sale... Completely unacceptable Well, at least it's not a 1 run game anymore!
RealAccountant Old-Timey Member Posted July 7, 2015 Posted July 7, 2015 Also the 3rd game of the season that Reyes has cost is single handedly He has the third best WAR for SS in the league Oh well face the facts, is f***ing over. We arent competing for s***. Time to call an end to the AA Era.
RealAccountant Old-Timey Member Posted July 7, 2015 Posted July 7, 2015 89 wRC+ offensive SS... Only $22m What a bargain.
LTR Verified Member Posted July 7, 2015 Author Posted July 7, 2015 3 misplays in a 1-run game vs Sale... Completely unacceptable Correction: 4 misplays
FrozenRopes Verified Member Posted July 7, 2015 Posted July 7, 2015 Does Reyes suck at baseball? He seems to like a challenge.
RealAccountant Old-Timey Member Posted July 7, 2015 Posted July 7, 2015 I still dont understand how an experienced GM like AA didn't take into consideration the lenght of Reyes contract, and the fact that he wouldn't be able to play SS for very long.
glory Old-Timey Member Posted July 7, 2015 Posted July 7, 2015 What a bargain. And AA traded two short-stops to get this guy. What a clown.
Atothe Old-Timey Member Posted July 7, 2015 Posted July 7, 2015 Stop bringing up his contract. Everyone knew he wouldn't be worth it but he would be an idiot not to sign as to avoid ridicule. Not his fault the marlins' dumbasses signed him to a stupid contract and then AA or Beeston proceed to trade for him.
RealAccountant Old-Timey Member Posted July 7, 2015 Posted July 7, 2015 And AA traded two short-stops to get this guy. What a clown. You just watch. AA is going to build the farm system, and just when its full of young MLB ready premium prospects, he will trade them for overpaid veterans.

Atothe Old-Timey Member Posted July 7, 2015 Posted July 7, 2015 I came back to say Real accountant is dumb
RealAccountant Old-Timey Member Posted July 7, 2015 Posted July 7, 2015 ^ I dont get this attitude. Why am I dumb, because I am pointing out that this team is .500 at best? That this is the best AA has done, Took him six years.

We also probably wouldn't have Donaldson without AA, I don't think I've ever seen you post the good about his tenure, it's always "fire this greek fatass now" or "this team is done because of this guy's obsession with falafels and Dickey and Reyes".
BigCecil Old-Timey Member Posted July 7, 2015 Posted July 7, 2015 We also probably wouldn't have Donaldson without AA, I don't think I've ever seen you post the good about his tenure, it's always "fire this greek fatass now" or "this team is done because of this guy's obsession with falafels and Dickey and Reyes". This. Not crazy about AA but without him we also probably don't sign Jose B to 5+1 and Edwin to 3+ 1 under market deals. He isn't all bad by any means.

So what. This is still a .500 team. who cares who is on the team, this team isn't winning anything Donaldson is here for 3 more years, I dont think he will play a meaningful game, not with the way the rotation is looking right now. EE already looked like he has begun to lose his quick swings, and Bautista's prime is done. Sure Jays have Donaldson so what. We also had Halladay, Delgado, Bautista, and all that turned into nothing. Get over a single player, I rather win with 0 superstars then lose with the team we have now. AA hasn't done any good in his tenure, simply because he has been the GM of the bluejays for six years, and in those six years, Jays have never played a meaningful game. Six years is a very long time, Most GMs dont last that long if they fail to make the playoffs.

Six years is a very long time, Most GMs dont last that long if they fail to make the playoffs. Bold I) Um, I'm pretty sure everyone on this board cares who is on this team. This is an asinine comment. Bold II) Yeah because the current rotation projects to 3 years in the future amirite. They are trying to improve the rotation and Stroman going down is something AA couldn't control. Bold III) Delgado and Halladay weren't in the main AA-era. Bold IV) What the hell is this? So you don't want them to have good players? Bold V) That is simply a terrible way to look at things when you evaluate a GM. There are also things that go down that can't be controlled by a GM, like the injury bug hitting like the Black Death in 2012 and 2013. The Reyes, Rogers and Dickey deals weren't good (I'm even willing to overlook the Reyes one somewhat since they also were thinking they were getting a 1-2 starter in Josh Johnson who absolutely s*** the bed).
