I don't see that Jim, hopefully Buehrle will be retained but where are you gonna put him? He needs to bust open the door to get a shot.

There's always room by mid or late season due to injury or suckage

Some impact from TJS recovery. Expect him to finish the season strong and be in Toronto at some point in 2016

Man, I will be so angry and sad if AA trades this guy for now.

You're right, he deserves some time up in MLB. He can replace anyone but MB right now, honestly. Well, Estrada is pitching really well. They rest can FYSMC.

Ugg, can we not keep adding players to the 40 man roster way before they're ready to stick at the MLB level? Castro is likely going to be taking up that spot for another 2 years before he actually needed to (though, Osuna, shockingly, seems to be sticking.)

Hoffman is merely holding his own in high-A and you think he is an average major league starter? Wow.

The expectations for this guy are way too high right now. Let him develop and stop trying to analyze him so closely. He'll get to Toronto when he's ready.

Fanboying to the extreme

Too much silicon, that's for sure.

Hoffman wants to be with one team like Jeter

For his part, the former ECU Pirate is more than happy to emerge from

the off-season as a Blue Jay, and looks forward to remaining one well

into the future.

“Obviously I’m very happy,” the Shaker High School alumni said smiling.

“I’d like to stick with the same team for a career like Derek Jeter did,

that’d be pretty cool.”

Hard to find someone in the minors in his first year that is going to say something else.

This team's aggressive promotions are weird.

followed by aggressive demotions... nothing like playing yo-yo with your young players to mess with their heads.

Jays started the season with 6 of them in the 25 man roster.

Hoffman to AA but Pompey dwells in the minors while Colabello remains replacement level or worse. Amazing

Roster management has always been AA's biggest strength

Colabello should be in the majors leagues but he should absolutely never play the outfield.

I don't even really think he should be in the majors. A 105 wRC+ DH who will absolutely butcher every spot in the field is pretty worthless.

Carrera is just as bad but apparently AA and Gibby haven't noticed yet

Well in any case, he shouldn't be on the Jays. It's baffling that even after trading Lind, the roster is overstocked with DH types again. After the Donaldson and Martin acquisitions I thought to myself, hurray, AA has caught up to defensive value but that was a mirage. Pompey could help this team win. His defensive value would more than make up the offensive gap with Collabello. It might not be ideal for his development but it's probably not really harmful long term either and it makes a ton of sense for a supposedly win now team.

To be fair on Dickey, he wasn't a replacement level player the past years and this year he has just shat the bed. Hard to change one of your "main" rotation guys mid season. Can't recall many teams that drop/replace such a guy. If anyone has a example, shoot it. If AA picks up Dickey's option this offesason then he should be on the list. Everything else, agreed.

If Dickey pitches like he has in his last 8 starts, save for the Tiger game, I'd be happy with that.

This organization is really f***ing dumb for allowing Colabello to continue to play LF. How can they not see that he's a detriment to the club.

Because this administration has never really understood what it takes to win

When has AA won anything Gibby?

Last year the Royals gave Butler 600 PA at below replacement level (-0.6 WAR). They gave Aaron Crow 59 innings at -1.1 WAR. They kept Bruce Chen beyond his expiry date and wasted innings on Tim Collins and Louis Coleman.

They also let Jimmy Parades and Liam Hendrix go for nothing.

This year they have given Infante 300 PA and Rios 170 PA and both are well below replacement level. They are the only ones on earth who didn't notice that Jeremy Guthrie sucks and continue to give him innings.

Last year the Giants had Cain, Romo, Gutierrez and Lopez all pitch at or below replacement level

This year the Giants have wasted 342 PA's on Angel Pagan and have given big innings to Hudson, Casilla, Machi, Vogelsong (who they chose to re-sign), Petit and Affedlt - all who have been awful this year and at or below replacement level.

These organizations must be really f***ing dumb too.......oh....wait a minute.
