Just signed up for MLBTV premium for $57; got an email offer as I have a free account right now, which is a pretty sweet deal. :D

Stupid question

Is there any way for me to watch through MLBTV through the PS3?

PS3 is my only console that can be connected to the internet, and my TV isn't smart.

I also don't have a laptop to hook up to the TV, so..

Yes PS3 is one of the better consoles for watching IMO

plus the cost of adding the unlimited bandwidth package from teksavvy. I don't know if I could keep my usage under 350GB.

My Teksavvy cap is 400 gb and it's really not an issue. You'll never use close to that much just for mlb.tv. If you're downloading a bunch of stuff schedule it for between 2 and 8 AM when it doesn't count against the cap.

I got MLBTV through PS3, but you can't get any Jays or post-season without a proxy, and then it's very choppy. Not worth it, imo.

Basically ignore this post if you want to know anything about it.

Yes, it works better than most options, imo.

Add the free App of MLB.TV through the PSN store and watch the free game of the day, you'll see how it works.

it seems to be sent to people who watched one of those mlb.tv free game of the day. I got it too and yeah its a good deal, its better than that military/student discount they're offering.

Man, that pisses me off. Well, that I didn't receive the offer, I could save money?

Does it give you a code?

Cause if you're not using it...

no code, and the link they sent me isn't even working anymore, ofcourse that could be because i used it to sign up already

I know last year they had the same discount around Fathers Day, which is when I signed up, so you should be able to get this deal again in a few weeks.

The stream is choppy for sure, not as smooth as cable/satellite, but for $57 you can't go wrong. Not signing up with Rogers/Bell/Shaw/etc. just for baseball.

I've never had a choppy feed, maybe it's your provider?

Here is a nice deal via Groupon, for one of two options.

But it's only good through Wednesday, so you'd best act fast if interested.
