Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted April 28, 2015 Posted April 28, 2015 I don't know if you guys watched the live coverage at the news last night (11pm-12pm) but it's pretty clear those acts have little if not nothing to do with Gray's death. They were rioting for the sake of rioting. Uhmm...this is pretty obvious.
TDotttt2005 Verified Member Posted April 28, 2015 Posted April 28, 2015 Theyre probably going to move the games to Nationals Park. I don't think it would be uncouth for the Jays to send an invitation addressed to Showalter offering Rogers Centre as a possible future venue for the Orioles to play their games should these hooligans continue to ruin their city.
jays76 Verified Member Posted April 28, 2015 Posted April 28, 2015 Can somebody track down and post the statement or tweet John Angelos made? I don't have time but apparently it was pretty poignant and a huge statement on the state of things (Social/Political/Economic) currently in America.

Nox Verified Member Posted April 28, 2015 Posted April 28, 2015 I think I've already seen the numbers on the whole but Wikipedia is tracking the number of killings on a per month basis. Kind of crazy to see it in this format (at least I thought so). http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_killings_by_law_enforcement_officers_in_the_United_States,_April_2015

BTS Community Moderator Posted April 28, 2015 Posted April 28, 2015 Postponed until a later date Goddamit.
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted April 28, 2015 Posted April 28, 2015 Goddamit. God damn fantasy problems...
BTS Community Moderator Posted April 28, 2015 Posted April 28, 2015 God damn fantasy problems... Abreu and Robertson in the DDL
NorthOf49 Old-Timey Member Posted April 28, 2015 Posted April 28, 2015 Abreu and Robertson in the DDL Shark will get to pitch like once in two weeks at this rate. At least double-headers don't really affect position players.
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted April 28, 2015 Posted April 28, 2015 Abreu and Robertson in the DDL Abreu and Britton for me, lol. f***, Melky and DeAza too.
TDotttt2005 Verified Member Posted April 28, 2015 Posted April 28, 2015 If only the US had a black leader in a position of prominence that could help quell the violence like MLK did.

The mayor of baltimore is a black female. It won't make a difference, these are people who are just looking for a reason to steal, protest, destroy and cause damage. The mayor also is not giving enough directive in terms of containing this and trying to speak out to the hooligans. But, regardless, I doubt any speech will have any impact on what is happening. 140+ cars torched, dozens of businesses looted and/or damaged, 19+ buildings sustaining structural damage, 15+ police officers injured. Good job Baltimore, I'm sure a lot of people will look to move there with their families when this is done, lol...

HERPDERP Old-Timey Member Posted April 28, 2015 Posted April 28, 2015 that's awkward as f*** and interesting. Now you'll be able to hear all the cheers and jeers from both dugouts. Would be awesome if there's a brawl.
HERPDERP Old-Timey Member Posted April 28, 2015 Posted April 28, 2015 lol and it turns out the Orioles vs Rays series will be moved to Tropicana, with the Orioles as home team.

Angrioter Old-Timey Member Posted April 28, 2015 Author Posted April 28, 2015 So they are playing the game in an empty stadium? Dang Rays are accustomed to play in an empty stadium.

I don't get why they just don't play in the Trop normally with the Rays home and in the next series vs. the O's at home gets switched to Camden yards
