o2cui2i Community Moderator Posted April 12, 2015 Posted April 12, 2015 I think we're mostly concerned about the accounts that do nothing but post comments about bad ownership, bad players, bad manager, etc. and I've been toasting those. if someone has 20 posts that are one long rant, they get cut from the vine. But they just create new accounts and come back like cancer

All the idiots flock here since it is the most active Jays forum on the internet, and we get more and more new posters each year. It just feels like this place is a constant cesspool of negativity any time we are losing a game

gruber92 Old-Timey Member Posted April 12, 2015 Posted April 12, 2015 One loss in a 162 game season and this place goes retarded. The desire to share ideas and opinions here is slowly dwindling. Troll accounts combined with punk sarcasm is becoming unbearable.

Problem is (as most message boards are the same) is a few posters attack opinions that differ from their own.

Why not ignore them? That would stop all the bickering.

Errorcebia Verified Member Posted April 12, 2015 Posted April 12, 2015 Why was Pompey batting second again? He is projected to be the worst hitter on the team, so I don't understand why he is getting put in such high spots. #mapleboner

Why not ignore them? That would stop all the bickering. Totally agree. As soon as anyone posts something negative they get called a troll unless it's in line with popular opinion (i.e. fangraphs). Do some people want this to be the rose coloured glasses forum? Seems like it.
Stangstag Old-Timey Member Posted April 12, 2015 Posted April 12, 2015 Can someone list all of the Mods on the forum? I'm just wondering. I know Juiced is the Admin and he rarely posts here
ScientificReason Verified Member Posted April 12, 2015 Posted April 12, 2015 Totally agree. As soon as anyone posts something negative they get called a troll unless it's in line with fangraph's negativity (ie Sanchez). Do some people want this to be the rose coloured glasses forum? Seems like it. I know , its silly. Ignore it and it would never become an issue. That is a bigger issue then the negative trolls. Trolls are useless if ignored. You cannot censor negativity. Its like they only want ten users on here and cannot handle differing views. Let the mods deal with the obvious trolls.
ScientificReason Verified Member Posted April 12, 2015 Posted April 12, 2015 I find it ironic that the worst poster on the forum is giving insight into his own demise. Exactly what I am talking about.
Stangstag Old-Timey Member Posted April 12, 2015 Posted April 12, 2015 ^derp http://www.bluejaysmessageboard.com/showgroups.php Ah, thanks. But there are more moderators... o2cui2i is not on that list
baloojayz Verified Member Posted April 12, 2015 Posted April 12, 2015 So why the fack did we put in Redmond instead of Osuna? Game was very winnable still...

strochez Verified Member Posted April 12, 2015 Posted April 12, 2015 So why the fack did we put in Redmond instead of Osuna? Game was very winnable still... Probably because Redmond needed to get some work-in and it appears Gibby wants to limit Osuna to 1-2 inning outings. Despite the fact that Redmond only pitched 2 innings Gibby was likely looking for 3-4 innings hence Redmond and Hendricks combined for 4
BigBounceyBlueBalls Old-Timey Member Posted April 12, 2015 Posted April 12, 2015 Wtf is going on here? Read the last couple pages and laughed, it just one game get over it bitches! End the Shanchez hate omg it's his first start, relax ya'll and have a Rum! Lol
RealAccountant Old-Timey Member Posted April 12, 2015 Posted April 12, 2015 Best lineup ever manages to get 1 hit. After the harassment I got for questioning why Pompey was in the 2 spot and not Martin.

BigBounceyBlueBalls Old-Timey Member Posted April 12, 2015 Posted April 12, 2015 Wait it's only the first week of ball and the Bluejays message board is melting. Let's be honest about first week judgements on players and this team. For instance are we more disappointed that our rookie #5 starter lost or by the fact that Jose Bautista has more strike outs then Shanchez too! Lol
Daniel Labude Jays Centre Contributor Posted April 12, 2015 Posted April 12, 2015 What's funny is......Kershaw and Bumgarner (5 runs in less innings) today all were as bad or worse than our #5 starter
King Old-Timey Member Posted April 12, 2015 Posted April 12, 2015 What's funny is......Kershaw, Bumgarner (5 runs in less innings), and Kluber today all were as bad or worse than our #5 starter Kershaw 6.1IP 6ER 3BB 5K 3.64 xFIP Bumgarner 3IP 10H 5ER 0BB 4K 1.77 xFIP (<--.714 BABIP) Kluber 6.1IP 7H 2ER 1BB 10K 0.92 xFIP Sanchez......... 3.1IP 7H 3ER 2BB 1K 5.48 xFIP

Stangstag Old-Timey Member Posted April 12, 2015 Posted April 12, 2015 Quoted for all of time. There's no coming back from this. Umm ok?
Daniel Labude Jays Centre Contributor Posted April 12, 2015 Posted April 12, 2015 Kershaw 6.1IP 6ER 3BB 5K 3.64 xFIP Bumgarner 3IP 10H 5ER 0BB 4K 1.77 xFIP (<--.714 BABIP) Kluber 6.1IP 7H 2ER 1BB 10K 0.92 xFIP Sanchez......... 3.1IP 7H 3ER 2BB 1K 5.48 xFIP Didn't mean to include Kluber....my point is still the same. Bad starts happen, if it's the norm something needs to change, but right now some people in here would be calling for Bumgarner to be DFA if he was on the Jays...people need to be patient (at this time)
WryNGinger Verified Member Posted April 12, 2015 Posted April 12, 2015 So Gibbons put Valencia in the outfield for the first time in his career as a precautionary move since Jose was cramping? That seems a little odd as "a precautionary measure". I know the game was out of hand for all intents and purposes but I hope Jose's prognosis is not worse than they are letting on.

Second straight game where that was done
Horses Fart Old-Timey Member Posted April 12, 2015 Posted April 12, 2015 Anybody else feel that watching a Jays game is like watching a kid throwing rocks at a pop bottle? Just waiting for it to break.
Angrioter Old-Timey Member Posted April 12, 2015 Posted April 12, 2015 Still, the actual in-game results were similar. Kershaw, MadBum, Klubaa will be fine, the talent is there. Aaron isnt ready to be starting games in that level.
Arjun Nimmala Vancouver Canadians - A+ SS It's been slow going at the start of the season for Nimmala, but on Sunday, he was 3-for-5 with his 3rd home run and 3 RBI. Explore Arjun Nimmala News >
