closetjaysfan Verified Member Posted April 12, 2015 Posted April 12, 2015 No McGowan. We are done with McGowan.
NorthOf49 Old-Timey Member Posted April 12, 2015 Posted April 12, 2015 What does this post even mean? He pitched better than the team's mop-up man today?
frizzer1 Verified Member Posted April 12, 2015 Posted April 12, 2015 I have never thought this team would contend this year, but look at the future.....Hutch,Stroman,Norris,Hoffman,sanchez,(if he gets to work on his command as a starter in AAA ) Castro, and Osuna... Could be a great staff for a decade..
Gorlak Verified Member Posted April 12, 2015 Posted April 12, 2015 So are we still okay with AA dealing away the good SP depth? Need more time. For Saunders and Donaldson, Yes. If anything the problem is he didn't try to replace it.
ElNik2013 Old-Timey Member Posted April 12, 2015 Posted April 12, 2015 My thoughts on Sanchez: Obviously, command is a big concern, but he didn't have much today in terms of stuff. I know you expect a velocity drop, but he's not a 90-93 MPH guy, he's more mid nighties. And it's not like he started off throwing 96 and it went down as he threw more pitches, it just wasn't there. Obviously, he is not a guy that can spot a 90-93 MPH fastball to be able to get through a lineup, not to mention the secondary pitches. A good part of the team has been crap though, especially the offense.
jaysfan2014 Old-Timey Member Posted April 12, 2015 Posted April 12, 2015 Redmond acting like his lower back is hurting him. Can we DL him and get Goins up here until Saunders is ready to come back?
Governator Community Moderator Posted April 12, 2015 Posted April 12, 2015 AA has no money to spend so how can he help unless he panics and deals a top prospect. Sometimes its the cost of winning, you guys are so afraid of moving pieces for controllable, proven arms during our most competitive years.
ElNik2013 Old-Timey Member Posted April 12, 2015 Posted April 12, 2015 For Saunders and Donaldson, Yes. If anything the problem is he didn't try to replace it. Give me some names that would legitimately have signed with the Jays, at their price range.

Daniel Labude Jays Centre Contributor Posted April 12, 2015 Posted April 12, 2015 Donaldson is going to hit his first HR
closetjaysfan Verified Member Posted April 12, 2015 Posted April 12, 2015 Can we DL him and get Goins up here until Saunders is ready to come back? I dunno... but if he isnt really hurt I hope someone fills his hotel room with sprinkler heads

Daniel Labude Jays Centre Contributor Posted April 12, 2015 Posted April 12, 2015 Bautista is so hilarious at the plate...forcing the opportunity swing
ElNik2013 Old-Timey Member Posted April 12, 2015 Posted April 12, 2015 Sometimes its the cost of winning, you guys are so afraid of moving pieces for controllable, proven arms during our most competitive years. Have a name in mind?
Gorlak Verified Member Posted April 12, 2015 Posted April 12, 2015 Give me some names that would legitimately have signed with the Jays, at their price range. Would have had to be a trade, but teams would be loathed to move those pieces anyway, so point taken.
Daniel Labude Jays Centre Contributor Posted April 12, 2015 Posted April 12, 2015 Give me some names that would legitimately have signed with the Jays, at their price range. David Robertson
o2cui2i Community Moderator Posted April 12, 2015 Posted April 12, 2015 well Jimenez is at 95 pitches. will we see the pen in the 8th?
Atothe Old-Timey Member Posted April 12, 2015 Posted April 12, 2015 Man Jimenez has shut them down, not even a wimper
Daniel Labude Jays Centre Contributor Posted April 12, 2015 Posted April 12, 2015 Apparently the hitting coach failed at the scouting report/approach this game.
Gorlak Verified Member Posted April 12, 2015 Posted April 12, 2015 well Jimenez is at 95 pitches. will we see the pen in the 8th? Only if he allows base runners is my guess.
TwistedLogic Old-Timey Member Posted April 12, 2015 Posted April 12, 2015 Jays would still be in this if Redman wasn't terrible, Has his fastball always been 89? http://rappingmanual.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/07/redman1.jpg
Daniel Labude Jays Centre Contributor Posted April 12, 2015 Posted April 12, 2015 can't blame jays batters jimenez is nearly uninhabitable tonight Yes you can...half of them have missed absolute meat pitches
ElNik2013 Old-Timey Member Posted April 12, 2015 Posted April 12, 2015 are graveman and nolin really that much of an improvement over sanchez in 2015? Oh I'm fine with the trades, just gauging how much some will panic after the team's first stinker.
o2cui2i Community Moderator Posted April 12, 2015 Posted April 12, 2015 ump telling Donaldson that the pitch has been coming back over the plate all night.
Governator Community Moderator Posted April 12, 2015 Posted April 12, 2015 Have a name in mind? I'm saying something like Hoffman for Hamels could be the difference maker and its not like its a horrible thing in 2016 either when we lose Dickey, Buehrle. Hoffman is not a guarantee, no prospect is.
ElNik2013 Old-Timey Member Posted April 12, 2015 Posted April 12, 2015 David Robertson I doubt he was in their price range. Plus, I thought we were discussing starters.
Gorlak Verified Member Posted April 12, 2015 Posted April 12, 2015 http://rappingmanual.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/07/redman1.jpg I'm glad I made that mistake.
