I have never thought this team would contend this year,but look at the future.....Hutch,Stroman,Norris,Hoffman,sanchez,(if he gets to work on his command as a starter in AAA ) Castro, and Osuna...

Could be a great staff for a decade..

My thoughts on Sanchez: Obviously, command is a big concern, but he didn't have much today in terms of stuff. I know you expect a velocity drop, but he's not a 90-93 MPH guy, he's more mid nighties. And it's not like he started off throwing 96 and it went down as he threw more pitches, it just wasn't there.

 

Obviously, he is not a guy that can spot a 90-93 MPH fastball to be able to get through a lineup, not to mention the secondary pitches.

 

A good part of the team has been crap though, especially the offense.
