Laika Community Moderator Posted March 31, 2015 Posted March 31, 2015 Man Sanchez is competing so hard out there today. Love it.
HERPDERP Old-Timey Member Posted March 31, 2015 Posted March 31, 2015 Yes, I was exaggerating. Sanchez had the same amount of walks while giving up less hits and more K's then Buerhle coming into this start. Sanchez is a rookie. He may walk people. People need to get over it. Being a rookie has nothing to do with it.
Daniel Labude Jays Centre Contributor Posted March 31, 2015 Posted March 31, 2015 Being a rookie has nothing to do with it. Yeah I guess if he gives up 1 run this season he is a bust. Have to be the greatest of all time or its time to cut him
LGBJ29 Verified Member Posted March 31, 2015 Posted March 31, 2015 Yeah I guess if he gives up 1 run this season he is a bust. Have to be the greatest of all time or its time to cut him why do people feel they need to go to extreme's when opposing an argument? How old are you?
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted March 31, 2015 Posted March 31, 2015 Lol this is comical. Walked Howard again. 6 BB in the game. I am not laughing
Daniel Labude Jays Centre Contributor Posted March 31, 2015 Posted March 31, 2015 Lol this is comical. Walked Howard again. 6 BB in the game. You know what pitches he was throwing...could be he was trying a 2 sesamer or another new pitch they keep trying to teach the young pitchers
HERPDERP Old-Timey Member Posted March 31, 2015 Posted March 31, 2015 Worst possible outcome to end the ST. Other than Martin breaking a knee or whatever. Seriously, they better interview Sanchez and see if he owns up to it. Or he'll use that ******** line that they are all competitive walks.
Governator Community Moderator Posted March 31, 2015 Posted March 31, 2015 Sanchez is done: WARNING DO NOT READ 4.1 IP, 6 H, 4 R, 4 ER, 6 BB, 2 K rough.

It happens to the best: http://www.fangraphs.com/wins.aspx?date=2007-08-29&team=Blue%20Jays&dh=0 It's one game. He hasn't had a problem with walks since June of last year, give the guy a break!!!!
Candide Verified Member Posted March 31, 2015 Posted March 31, 2015 i cannot wait until sanchez dirties all over your foul, seditious lips in the regular season.
Daniel Labude Jays Centre Contributor Posted March 31, 2015 Posted March 31, 2015 Buehrle doesn't have a hit problem? He has a league average BABIP for his career. He just strikes out less guys. Not talking about career
baubau Verified Member Posted March 31, 2015 Posted March 31, 2015 Sanchez just doesn't want to be in any trade to the Phillies and why he decided to blow up today guys. Its all part of his plan to stay with the Jays. Relax. /sarcasm
LGBJ29 Verified Member Posted March 31, 2015 Posted March 31, 2015 Wilner just told me on twitter Sanchez's minor league bb/9 numbers aren't bad hahahah
HERPDERP Old-Timey Member Posted March 31, 2015 Posted March 31, 2015 It happens to the best: http://www.fangraphs.com/wins.aspx?date=2007-08-29&team=Blue%20Jays&dh=0 It's one game. He hasn't had a problem with walks since June of last year, give the guy a break!!!! Except that blip for Halladay was long after he solved his control issues. That was an abberation (sp). Sanchez has been known to have problems with control, and still does.
Daniel Labude Jays Centre Contributor Posted March 31, 2015 Posted March 31, 2015 You can't be a good pitcher with a WHIP over 1.4. Like Buerhle with 3 years over 1.4...and the last 2 seasons at 1.35
Daniel Labude Jays Centre Contributor Posted March 31, 2015 Posted March 31, 2015 BABIP takes 8 years to stabilize. Walks take half a year. Sure those assumptions are fact right....lol
HERPDERP Old-Timey Member Posted March 31, 2015 Posted March 31, 2015 Sexy Donaldson is making me forget about this pitching gongshow
Daniel Labude Jays Centre Contributor Posted March 31, 2015 Posted March 31, 2015 http://www.baseballprospectus.com/article.php?articleid=14293 Still not a fact/happens for everyone
glory Old-Timey Member Posted March 31, 2015 Posted March 31, 2015 Estrada should be the #5 starter, with Sanchez in the pen, and Hendriks as the long man.
Angrioter Old-Timey Member Posted March 31, 2015 Posted March 31, 2015 Wilner just told me on twitter Sanchez's minor league bb/9 numbers aren't bad hahahah What is worse, Wilner's answer or you asking Wilner?
TBJ12 Verified Member Posted March 31, 2015 Posted March 31, 2015 Bautista and Donaldson bombs. So the big 3 all went deep today. Can't wait to see that happen during the regular season!
JaysFan75 Verified Member Posted March 31, 2015 Posted March 31, 2015 Except that blip for Halladay was long after he solved his control issues. That was an abberation (sp). Sanchez has been known to have problems with control, and still does. Until today, he's been clean since last June. That's enough of a track record to suggest that today might just be a blip. He may still have control problems, but he might not. Today doesn't prove it either way.
Angrioter Old-Timey Member Posted March 31, 2015 Posted March 31, 2015 Osuna strikes out the side. Bad sign
reedjohnsonfan Verified Member Posted March 31, 2015 Posted March 31, 2015 Still not a fact/happens for everyone Yeah for sure. AA has said several times Sanchez was transitioning to more of a strike thrower last year. That's why you can remain cautiously optimistic that he'll have decent (not great) strikeout numbers too, he was going through some adjustments. Just let the kid pitch before assuming he'll be garbage.
HERPDERP Old-Timey Member Posted March 31, 2015 Posted March 31, 2015 Osuna strikes out the side. Bad sign Osuna stay in the minors to get stretched out. Then replace Sanchez in rotation after a few weeks.
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted March 31, 2015 Posted March 31, 2015 Bautista and Donaldson bombs. We're gonna need a lot of that to bail out this pitching staff. (maybe)
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted March 31, 2015 Posted March 31, 2015 So the big 3 all went deep today. Can't wait to see that happen during the regular season! 100 home runs is what happens
gruber92 Old-Timey Member Posted March 31, 2015 Posted March 31, 2015 Sanchez is done: WARNING DO NOT READ 4.1 IP, 6 H, 5 R, 5 ER, 6 BB, 2 K Slight overreaction?
glory Old-Timey Member Posted March 31, 2015 Posted March 31, 2015 Osuna and Castro in the pen and Sanchez in the rotation. All three will be demoted by the end of May.
HERPDERP Old-Timey Member Posted March 31, 2015 Posted March 31, 2015 Slight overreaction? How is that an overreaction? That's a putrid line. Looks like a Drabek post TJ x2
Arjun Nimmala Vancouver Canadians - A+ SS It's been slow going at the start of the season for Nimmala, but on Sunday, he was 3-for-5 with his 3rd home run and 3 RBI. Explore Arjun Nimmala News >
