Laika Community Moderator Posted March 26, 2015 Posted March 26, 2015 Lol at a 1st round draft pick who rocketed to the majors giving life lessons to a thirty year old trying to hold on to a job on the fringes. He probably means well but he should of kept that one to himself. Yeah he should of. Obviously he's talking about his own situation. God you guys need to get a life.
LGBJ29 Verified Member Posted March 26, 2015 Posted March 26, 2015 Yeah he should of. Obviously he's talking about his own situation. God you guys need to get a life. I agree. There's literally nothing that suggests this is towards Delabar. Stroman makes tweets like this literally every day
Brownie19 Old-Timey Member Posted March 26, 2015 Posted March 26, 2015 Delabar to AAA is pretty shocking and disappointing news. We really needed him to rebound. Something seems fishy about this. And this bench we have is abysmal due to injuries and this god damn Navarro/Thole thing. AA needs resolve this nonsense. If we're keeping Tolleson as the utility infielder because he can be a backup OFer, then we're left with nobody who can play SS (Reyes can't play SS anymore for christ sakes). Send Thole to AAA and hope to heck Martin can catch Dickey and keep Goins up to play some defense. You don't spend $85M on a guy and then carry 2 backups for him....god this is stupid.

Pretty sure they can't send Thole to AAA without his consent or that would have been the plan all along, he has veteran protection I assume after 5+ years in the majors.

I thought someone said he had options...you mean something I read on the internet could be wrong?

They are just pitching considerably better than Delebar. im happy they r taking the best players for once
Brownie19 Old-Timey Member Posted March 26, 2015 Posted March 26, 2015 He does have an option. He just may have to provide consent for that option. I can check. Good news is - he's only a ML backup because he can catch Dickey...I suspect he'd prefer to stick with the organization in hopes that Martin can't catch Dickey and/or in the event Martin got hurt.

Much appreciated.

KingKat Old-Timey Member Posted March 26, 2015 Posted March 26, 2015 (edited) I just caught up to the whole Should have/Should of thing. I coudn't understand why everyone was putting so much emphasis on that. It's really weird because in spoken conversation, it more often than not does sound like "should of". I guess the proper way to represent that is "should've". Then again using contractions to represent perfectly common and natural things like dropped vowels is in itself a very strange quirk of written English. Carry on mocking. burlingtonbandit Old-Timey Member Posted March 26, 2015 Posted March 26, 2015 Am I missing something here? Seems to me we need a one inning type because we have too many multi inning guys. Redmond, Estrada and Castro are all guys who can throw 3 innings out of the pen...

They know how limited it is having one inning guys and so they're taking 12 starters north. We're witnessing some game changing stuff here.
