Deadpool Old-Timey Member Posted March 22, 2015 Posted March 22, 2015 Schultz has some very nice arm side run on the fastball. Looks like he really needs some polish, but has a great arm... The lack of polish is to be expected, given his history...
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted March 22, 2015 Posted March 22, 2015 Who is this Mike Aviles wannabe at the plate?
glory Old-Timey Member Posted March 22, 2015 Posted March 22, 2015 Cecil, Castro, Loup, Delabar, Hynes, Redmond, Estrada Better hope Hendriks clears waivers. We'll need that man.
Angrioter Old-Timey Member Posted March 22, 2015 Posted March 22, 2015 Cecil, Castro, Loup, Delabar, Hynes, Redmond, Estrada Better hope Hendriks clears waivers. We'll need that man. Castro in; Hendricks, Barnes and Drabek to play in other team.

Estrada is such an uninspiring bullpen arm. It would be hard to use him in any close games because you'd be so scared of the long ball.

He's tied to a bigger salary too which helps in this context.
glory Old-Timey Member Posted March 22, 2015 Posted March 22, 2015 He's our Villanueva of 2015. I wish we just signed Villanueva to fill that role.
glory Old-Timey Member Posted March 22, 2015 Posted March 22, 2015 I don't think there's any way Hendriks clears. He's young, cheap, and has a good minor league track record. Put him in a big park in the NL (or Seattle) and he'll do well enough. If they can sneak him down and then stretch Jenkins out to be a starter in AAA, then at least there would be some semblance of AAA depth other than pray for Johan to stay healthy.
Laika Community Moderator Posted March 22, 2015 Posted March 22, 2015 He's our Villanueva of 2015. yeah, basically
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted March 22, 2015 Posted March 22, 2015 Wow, a two hour game. You don't see that too often.
KingKat Old-Timey Member Posted March 22, 2015 Posted March 22, 2015 Might be best to platoon Estrada and Sanchez in the 5th starter role. Sanchez in parks with bigger HR park factor and Estrada in parks with smaller HR park factor. The other goes to the bullpen for the time being depending on schedule. That would make a ton of sense but sadly, it's probably too unconventional. I have never heard of pitchers being "platooned" in this fashion.
NorthOf49 Old-Timey Member Posted March 22, 2015 Posted March 22, 2015 Just went back and watched the Miguel Castro appearance. He made Longoria look really silly. Wow.

Angrioter Old-Timey Member Posted March 22, 2015 Posted March 22, 2015 Gregor Chisholm Hutchison pitched in a Minor League game today. He didn't allow a run over five innings. Four hits, one walk, seven strikeouts. 75 pitches.
fireballW Verified Member Posted March 22, 2015 Posted March 22, 2015 Next year's starting rotation should be Stroman, Sanchez, Norris, Osuna, Castro...with Hoffman replacing possibly Sanchez. So you traded Hutchison?
BigBounceyBlueBalls Old-Timey Member Posted March 22, 2015 Posted March 22, 2015 Navarro, Estrada and izturis can be all Dfa'd we still save 1.5 million if we do! Go on take the money and Run! Do it AA! Ps plus we are a better team! Also Redman your next buddy I am watching you! Lol

Virgil_Hiltz Verified Member Posted March 22, 2015 Posted March 22, 2015 Good inning for Osuna, nothing hit hard and got the double play when needed. Doesn't look like he throws that hard what does his fastball sit around? and here's hoping the batters see the same as you when it's coming in at mid-90's!
Virgil_Hiltz Verified Member Posted March 22, 2015 Posted March 22, 2015 No. Never say f*** Stroman. You just don't do that. Sounds ridiculous to say this but without Stromans injury Castor and Osuna may have lingered in the minors (still might) but giving them MLB experience this yr coupled with Stromans return next season gives AA a boatload of opportunities next offseason to make other upgrades with some sort of guarantee what the jays have going forward. Plus this season it's a chain-reaction throughout the system for young kids moving up. A lot of times, all what's missing for a prospect is a decent opportunity to exceed/succeed!

The only guy who can remove Sanchez from the rotation, is Sanchez himself. Will depend "WINS, ERA, IP"; doesn't matter he grant tons of "competitive walks".

Gibby and AA are smarter than that even if Buck and Tabby aren't If he puts up Drabek/Romero level BB rates they won't be happy even if he's winning games thanks to the offense
