Jimcanuck Old-Timey Member Posted May 18, 2015 Posted May 18, 2015 No, I think everyone is just getting pushed back a day. Maybe but interesting that Norris' next start is now lined up with Estrada scheduled start in Seattle
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted May 18, 2015 Posted May 18, 2015 Woah, Southern Ontario Tornado warnings, head for cover!!
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted May 18, 2015 Posted May 18, 2015 Maybe but interesting that Norris' next start is now lined up with Estrada scheduled start in Seattle That would probably stay lined up after what happens up here in the bigs, after the turn.
BigBounceyBlueBalls Old-Timey Member Posted May 19, 2015 Posted May 19, 2015 Maybe but interesting that Norris' next start is now lined up with Estrada scheduled start in Seattle The stars are aligning, good to hear!
tercet Verified Member Posted May 19, 2015 Author Posted May 19, 2015 So AA was on fan590 earlier today talking about Norris. I'll paraphrase him but he said roughly. "We sent down Norris because he had bad peripherals and we thought he couldn't keep him his era" Hahahahahhaahahahaha What about Sanchez and his historically bad peripherals?

Jimcanuck Old-Timey Member Posted May 20, 2015 Posted May 20, 2015 Reality is.... Sanchez has been OK as a 22 yr old 5th starter
nmrch Verified Member Posted May 20, 2015 Posted May 20, 2015 Wild pitchers sometimes find a repeatable delivery on a temporary basis, that's what happened with Sanchez today, no reason to believe he's progressing skill wise.

tercet Verified Member Posted May 20, 2015 Author Posted May 20, 2015 Sanchez was alright tonight. He murdered RHB and got murdered by LHB tonight. So much pretty much the same as his normal splits all year.
Jimcanuck Old-Timey Member Posted May 20, 2015 Posted May 20, 2015 He he hasn't. Sanchez is still having an awful season. Jesus F. Christ In 8 starts he's given up more than 3 earned runs, once. I get that the peripherals suggest that statistically he will implode, but he goes out there every 5th day until he's hurting the team. If you've been watching every one of his games as I have, he has been improving each start. There is plenty more upside, and I gonna throw out a prediction here: Sanchez continues to improve and is the Jays 3rd best pitcher ahead of Dickey and Estrada or whoever at the break.

tercet Verified Member Posted May 20, 2015 Author Posted May 20, 2015 Looking at one-game splits for a pitcher is pretty pointless. He has a 3.37 xFIP so far; has pitched well. Ya I know but just saying he has extreme splits, and nothing changed tonight. He faced a heavy RHB lineup and did alright.
BTS Community Moderator Posted May 20, 2015 Posted May 20, 2015 Objectively good start after a series of very bad ones. If he can repeat performances like these, people will stop complaining.
Arjun Nimmala Vancouver Canadians - A+ SS It's been slow going at the start of the season for Nimmala, but on Sunday, he was 3-for-5 with his 3rd home run and 3 RBI. Explore Arjun Nimmala News >
