Remember that kid in the Bautista home run "reaction" video vs Texas? His dad is marketing the s*** out of him, and apparently he holds his own autograph sessions.

He didn't even catch the ball how can he be marketing anything? I actually know the guy who grabbed the ball and he offered it to Joey Bats, but Joey didn't care about the ball.

Good move by the White Sox didn't give up much. Lawrie has the tools to be above average 3B but has a mindset of a child

I read that they plan to use him at 2nd. I'm sure he hates switching positions all the time. If I was Chicago I'd just leave him at 3rd.

Wow Eshelman to the Phillies too. Nice haul.

Wow...wasn't he a first rounder? 2nd rounder 4th overall. I own him in another league and loved what I read up on him.

2nd rounder. 139 K and 7 BB in 137 IP last year with a 1.58 ERA. Over his 3 years at Cal State he had 376 IP, 321 K and just 18 BB. 1.65 ERA.

Only throws 88-91 but has 80 command.

Wtf?

This is hilarious. This photo is from the Smith Brothers Indoor Baseball Facility in the hamlet of New Lowell, Ontario (which is where I still play men's hardball). I actually did the site servicing design for this facility. My 5 year old son is enrolled in their t-ball program and the Owner was setting up for this and telling me all about it last Sunday.

I don't think this is exactly what it appears to be. Smith Brothers run the Central Ontario Reds baseball team, which is a Fall/Winter developmental program for youth baseball players. This kid is in the program and if I had to guess, I bet it was them that approached the kid/family about doing a little promo event to raise a bit of money for the team. They're always doing some sort of promo event, including training sessions and dinner gala's with the likes of Mookie Wilson and Devon White. I ran into Devon White earlier this year, which was kinda cool.

Obviously if someone has pictures of this guy signing autographs at like 3 other events, then I stand corrected.

I think most people would term that the class of 2019, not 2018 (this is the 2016 offseason right now).

A lot those players will either extend and not reach free agency or decline and not be a big deal three years from now. It's just so early to look at it.

Some of the names he lists even suck right now, lol. Gattis and Happ? Mauer? Carter Capps will probably be retired in three years. Nelson Cruz will be 38! He will be total garbage.

I will grant that the top end is massive and some of them seem to have a very strong chance of reaching FA. Harper, Donaldson, Cutch, Machado, Heyward, Kershaw, Fernandez, Sale could all be seen to have a better than average chance of still being elite and not extending with their current team, for one reason or another.
