Leafs2726 Verified Member Posted September 21, 2015 Posted September 21, 2015 You know it really sucks when a good pitcher is ONLY allowed to pitch 5 IP. Makes for a long game. Oh my Mets D looking like Jays today.
Leafs2726 Verified Member Posted September 21, 2015 Posted September 21, 2015 Mets in a whole heap of trouble.
Belliss101 Old-Timey Member Posted September 21, 2015 Posted September 21, 2015 alright. 2.5 ahead now.
Trouba95 Old-Timey Member Posted September 21, 2015 Posted September 21, 2015 So 2.5 ahead. f***ing Mets.
Stangstag Old-Timey Member Posted September 21, 2015 Posted September 21, 2015 Mets royally f***ing up this inning
Leafs2726 Verified Member Posted September 21, 2015 Posted September 21, 2015 2.5 after tonight. Yanks are good
Leafs2726 Verified Member Posted September 21, 2015 Posted September 21, 2015 Anyways I think the Dodgers will crush the Mets in the playoffs. Kershaw and Greinke, good luck!
RealAccountant Old-Timey Member Posted September 21, 2015 Posted September 21, 2015 It's not like the Yankees automatically receive +2 runs once Harvey is taken out of the game. Hahaha
Belliss101 Old-Timey Member Posted September 21, 2015 Posted September 21, 2015 What a disaster inning
venema20 Verified Member Posted September 21, 2015 Posted September 21, 2015 If Cespedes comes back to reality, which seems like he is, this Mets team will not fare too well in the playoffs. Great young pitching staff, but can't compete with Greinke and Kershaw. They are a few years away from being legitimate contenders. Probably get swept first round by the Dodgers
Boxcar Old-Timey Member Posted September 21, 2015 Posted September 21, 2015 Wow, Bryce Harper is so close to finishing the year with a wRC+ over 200. Only one other player in the last century has accomplished that at age 22 or younger...Ted Williams.

He better f***ing win MVP by a landslide.

Boxcar Old-Timey Member Posted September 22, 2015 Posted September 22, 2015 The narrative will be that he didn't help his team win, Rizzo getting a lot of hype. Sad Harper is posting a Bonds-esque season. No way Rizzo can win over him, especially when he's not even the best player on his own team.

L54 Old-Timey Member Posted September 22, 2015 Posted September 22, 2015 Nobody hit for the triple crown this year, who will the voters choose now in the NL?!
Boxcar Old-Timey Member Posted September 22, 2015 Posted September 22, 2015 Nobody hit for the triple crown this year, who will the voters choose now in the NL?! If only Harper hit with runners on base.
nextyear Verified Member Posted September 22, 2015 Posted September 22, 2015 Boston Red Sox continue to play decent baseball. They have moved out of last place past Tampa Bay by beating them 8-7 tonight - http://mlb.mlb.com/mlb/gameday/index.jsp?gid=2015_09_21_tbamlb_bosmlb_1#game=2015_09_21_tbamlb_bosmlb_1,game_state=Wrapup,game_tab=box Luckily the Yankees have to play the Red Sox for 4 games starting next Monday and hopefully the Red Sox will help the Blue Jays clinch the AL East by beating the Yankees in 2 or 3 of the 4 games.
L54 Old-Timey Member Posted September 22, 2015 Posted September 22, 2015 (edited) If only Harper hit with runners on base. I'd prefer a higher BABIP but oh well. Edit: I thought Boxy was taking a sarcastic shot at the voters. Now I see what he means. I retract my poor attempt at being funny, but have no shame. Edited September 22, 2015 by L54

burlingtonbandit Old-Timey Member Posted September 22, 2015 Posted September 22, 2015 Amazing read about Votto and his focus on hitting http://www.fangraphs.com/blogs/joey-votto-on-aging/ Crazy how underrated he is and I'm surprised he doesn't get talked about more in the media in Canada considering his Nationality. I think he has a decent shot at the HOF but will come down to health as it usually always does.
