Mets blow. Prado hits a walkoff off a tired Clippard, and now the Nats are only 4 back of the Mets.. with a huge series coming up tomorrow.

Nats are not finished and Harvey wants rest of the year off

How many people would put their earning potential at risk because they care more about their company's success than their own? Nobody.

Tons of people actually do but those people will likely regret it when they realize how little their loyalty means.

How likely is this? Sounds like Boras is being an idiot from what I can tell.

Boras makes a good case actually. He listed a number of pitchers after TJS who didn't have a limit and they weren't the same compared with a few that did have a limit and they continued to have success.

Thanks. That makes sense then. It's just a real shame if Harvey can't pitch in the playoffs, makes them a pretty weak team IMO.

I got it bad like that once in high school playing soccer. Coach said to reach down my shorts and jiggle them. Didn't help. I think he was just messing with me.

Coach just wanted to jiggle your jubblies...

WTF... so many douchebags in baseball... batter keeps doing practice swings like it's nothing, Mariners dugout is laughing, broadcasters just go silent...

Meh. Batter didn't know how serious it was until he seen manager call for backup catcher, then he went to bench. I thought oddest thing was Pomeranz didn't even come over.

I'd like to dedicate to appreciate how much a tank Clayton Kershaw is. Another 7+ WAR season, makes that 4 in his last 5 and 7 consecutive 4+ WAR seasons. If that wasn't amazing enough his K/9 has been increasing and xFIP decreasing over that span. He is probably the only pitcher to date worth that 200+ Million contract.

Verlander and Sabbathia certainly weren't

It's hard to imagine Scherzer will be

Price will be the next to get one of course

To have any respect? So you have no respect for Clayton Kershaw is what you're saving?

Does Tom Glavine and Greg Maddux deserve no respect too? What about John Smoltz? Zero respect for everyone!

Kershaw is a tremendous pitcher. Period.

Must be easy pitching to 8 hitters instead of 9 and doing it against the padres and giants. Maybe he can come pitch in the big league one day

NL West pitching stats = Arena League football QB stats

All the Giants' infielders are approaching or above 4 WAR and are well above averge hitters.

You have no idea what you're talking about.

Scherzer's payment differential actually gives him a very good shot at it.

You have no dog in this fight.

Heh, yeah, that's probably why I'm the only one that found something to laugh at.

Deferral? Actually yeah I had forgotten all about that. On paper he's getting paid $42,143,000 a year for the last 3 years of his deal (insane) but "a portion of salary deferred through 2028".

You were born evil woman

I swear I didn't laugh at first. I actually cringed when it hit him, but then he hit the ground and just kept rolling and I don't know, it was kind of funny. I'll get no agreement here, I know.

I wish it were tax season right now so you'd be too busy to post.

Huh? The Giants have had one of the best offenses in baseball this year.
