intentional wok Old-Timey Member Posted August 16, 2015 Posted August 16, 2015 What in the world is happening with Seattle? MLB is showing me the Mariners scores and not the Seahawks, right?

intentional wok Old-Timey Member Posted August 16, 2015 Posted August 16, 2015 if it was a seahawks game they would have won... 10-22 is ridiculous for sure. As long as the last play wasn't on the 1-yard line.
thatoneguy Old-Timey Member Posted August 16, 2015 Posted August 16, 2015 Pretty typical MadBum game, 12 Ks through 8, a double and a home run.

Ventura is a little prick but he is filthy Rios is a shadow of his former self in RF for KC with a sub .600 OPS He throws a hard curve. For example, his curveball has -5.2 z-mov at 83.4 mph As a comparison Fiers has -12.1 z-mov at 71.8 mph Kershaw has -10.2 z-mov at 73.5 mph But if he's so nasty, why is he not very good?

Swervin81 Verified Member Posted August 17, 2015 Posted August 17, 2015 Joba Chamberlain signs a minor league deal with the Royals. Hmmm... On August 30, 2007, during a game against the Boston Red Sox, Chamberlain threw two pitches over the head of Kevin Youkilis. Chamberlain was subsequently ejected for the first time in his Major League career. The next day, Chamberlain was sentenced to a two-game suspension and a $1,000 fine Ah, so that's why they signed him. Joba the Hutt should be a perfect fit, then.
BigCecil Old-Timey Member Posted August 17, 2015 Posted August 17, 2015 KC's Morales has been a great find for 6.5MM. 9mm next season. SH with pop who uses the whole field. Drove in the winning run last night with a walk off single to the opposite field.
intentional wok Old-Timey Member Posted August 17, 2015 Posted August 17, 2015 What's scary about the Royals is that they're still missing their best player.
BlueBirdBro Verified Member Posted August 17, 2015 Posted August 17, 2015 Does anyone think Washington can actually turn it around?

That last series with them was electric. Watched Herrera last night pumping out FBs at 101. Cant stand that guy but he is good. Id love to see JD drill one of those (or more than one!) in the playoffs. That team is well put together. Pitching, D and a solid offense. I still like how we match up now though.

They are very, very lucky he's been great this year. He was a 32 year old coming off an atrocious year and they gave him a 2 year deal. I'm surprised he didn't want a 1 year deal.

Ehjays Verified Member Posted August 17, 2015 Posted August 17, 2015 I know I'm problably in s*** for starting a new thread but thought we could have one where we post some wild plays. So this play, the baserunner starts at 2nd base......he attempts to steal 3rd and runs back to 1st!!!! I've never seen a play like that.
LTR Verified Member Posted August 17, 2015 Posted August 17, 2015 Zomg you created a new thread... mods!!
CHRIS Verified Member Posted August 17, 2015 Posted August 17, 2015 I had no idea you could go back bases.

How does a major league ace and 10-year vet struggle so much throwing the ball to first?
BTS Community Moderator Posted August 17, 2015 Posted August 17, 2015 The Royals are overrated IMO. I hope someone gives them a reality check in the playoffs. I know it's a minority opinion, but I like how the Royals are built. Leveraging their giant OF by acquiring a bunch of elite OF defenders, and then leveraging them by going cheap on a rotation of flyball guys. Then you have the elite pen, and now Cueto as the head of the staff. They have an identity. Not sure if Moore planned any of this or if it just kind of fell into place though.
o2cui2i Community Moderator Posted August 17, 2015 Posted August 17, 2015 he was tagged at second without his foot on the base. he should have been out right there. stepping on the base means the back runner is out because only the lead base runner can have the base but he is tagged after that and then they tag the guy who was already out. dumb runners and dumb ump.
