Brownie19 Old-Timey Member Posted August 6, 2015 Posted August 6, 2015 Grichuk is kind of a fluke... it's Bryant all the way for NL (maybe Syndergaard).... Correa AL, or maybe McCullers. Seriously - how good is Correa?
HERPDERP Old-Timey Member Posted August 6, 2015 Posted August 6, 2015 Seriously - how good is Correa? Over a full season he's projected to be better than Trout.
Sammy225 Old-Timey Member Posted August 6, 2015 Posted August 6, 2015 Bryant isn't even the rookie NL WAR leader... it's not him all the way. There are a whole bunch of legitimate NL candidates. I agree that Grichuk is very fluky. If Devon Travis gets healthy and keeps producing, he has a shot at AL ROY. I would think Travis has missed too much time. But never know if he comes back in middle of August and Rakes who knows.
Boxcar Old-Timey Member Posted August 6, 2015 Posted August 6, 2015 Crazy year for rookies. Some insane talent entering the league right now. I think it will probably be Correa in AL and Bryant in NL. I just believe in the talent.

I feel like everyone is going to vote for Correa. Travis's season even if he finishes strong will be overlooked because of all of the other Jays hitters.

Travis won't have enough ABs, unfortunately.
Effit Old-Timey Member Posted August 6, 2015 Posted August 6, 2015 Ventura's punk ass got roughed up by the Tigers. Poor baby.
Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted August 6, 2015 Posted August 6, 2015 Ventura's punk ass got roughed up by the Tigers. Poor baby. I'm really surprised he had the gall to call Bautista "a nobody," especially considering they're both Dominican. Yordano's phone was probably ringing off the hook from Ortiz and Pujols tell him to show some f***ing respect.

burlingtonbandit Old-Timey Member Posted August 6, 2015 Posted August 6, 2015 lol at calling a guy a nobody who has more ASG appearances than you do years in the bigs.
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted August 6, 2015 Posted August 6, 2015 Rajai Davis comes in to pinch-run following a single from Avila. He steals second immediately and moves to third following an errand throw from the catcher. Exciting stuff.

How exciting would it be if the Royals tanked the rest of the season and didn't make the play-offs.

Effit Old-Timey Member Posted August 6, 2015 Posted August 6, 2015 That squirrel is saying put me in coach.

I remember at the beginning of the season all the experts said the AL Central was the best division in the league, and that the AL East was not very good. Now the Central has one good team while the East has 3, maybe 4.

BTS Community Moderator Posted August 6, 2015 Posted August 6, 2015 The HR derby thing is stupid. The best way to find oneself in a HR derby is to have an outstanding (often unsustainably good) first half.
Dr Negative Verified Member Posted August 6, 2015 Posted August 6, 2015 Yeah the curse of the HR derby = regression to the mean.

I was just making an observation more than any kind of analysis.

Deadpool Old-Timey Member Posted August 6, 2015 Posted August 6, 2015 Welcome back Adam Loewen to the big leagues: Is he still pitching, or is he back to hitting?
GD Old-Timey Member Posted August 6, 2015 Posted August 6, 2015 Is he still pitching, or is he back to hitting? Pitching. Saw him in Buffalo.
bendera3 Verified Member Posted August 6, 2015 Posted August 6, 2015 Pitching. Saw him in Buffalo. I'd love to get him back in the organization and try to have him be both an outfielder and pitcher. I think he could be valuable if he did both.
