Looks like everyone and their dog is rumored to take the Marlins job. First I hear Jeff Conine, then I hear Brett Butler, then Bo Porter, Ron Renokie, then Pudge Rodriguez. Now I see that their GM Dan Jennings might take over? Sheesh lol

you tried

Lol soon the managerial payroll will be higher than their players' payroll

Allen Craig's career has basically collapsed. Going from a World Series hero.. to being outrighted off Boston's 40-man. We'll likely never see him again. Probably also means Boston's getting ready to call up one their top pitching prospects soon.. or an infielder, which they are lacking outside of Brock Holt, who is being used mostly in the OF anyway..

Dan Jenning is getting the managerial job..but it seems Manfred may not allow.

Just give the job to ichiro already.

Why wouldn't Manfred allow this, am I missing something?

He caught my eye. As I got closer he was ear to ear with a hearty grin. He said to me, "sweet board, dude!" & gave me a Shaka with a wiggle. I laughed & opened conversation. I had nothing on me but my camera so I snapped a few shots then asked him to stay put while I cruised back to the clubhouse to grab something to help him out. I came back with some money & Peter Pan Peanut butter crackers. 😂 He was so stoked on the crackers. Such a gentle hearted man deserved way more than some crackers & a few bills but knowing he appreciated the gesture made my day. I think more happiness awaits this fella. #jklivin #dncityseries #buffalo".

It has something to do affirmative action s*** that Bud Selig implemented.

They could still hire Jennings, but they need to interview other minority candidates. Affirmative action sucks.

LOL...Selig is a moron, a team should be able to do what they want, afterall, it's their org.

I'll hire the guy whom I think is best suited for the job. If being a minority or a woman has no effect on the job then it shouldn't matter.

The commissioner has the discretion to waive the "Selig rule" and its usually granted when you're talking about internal hires. Its wrong to say Manfred will block the Jennings' hire, that almost certainly will not happen. So save your political rants for another time.

Obviously. Nothing wrong with digging at Selig though, he's a f***ing goof.

Maybe but Hank Aaron is his favourite player ever

Rubby De La Rosa pitched a gem vs. the Marlins (9 IP, 6H, 2ER, 5Ks). Too bad Haren also pitched well.. and they're headed to extras tied 2-2.

So far, that trade has been horrible for the Red Sox. De La Rosa would be the ace right now for Boston.. but no, they wanted Wade Miley because he had past success in his rookie year.

Marcus Semien now up to 14 errors at SS. Ryan Goins/Jose Reyes/Steve Tolleson only have 4 at SS combined. Why don't the A's just move Sogard there to SS and move Semien to 2B or the OF? And you wonder why the A's are in last place.

Kluber dominated 9 innings 5 hits 1 hit 1 bb 12 so but game is going into extras

He dominated so much that 4 hits didn't count against him anymore!

Posted
And Kluber's gem goes to waste as the White Sox win in extras after Zach McAllister blew the game by giving up a walk-off single to Carlos Sanchez.

The heavy-hitting right fielder has been undergoing treatment, but he's previously stated the healing process has been slowed by his continued presence in the lineup. Joey Batista words, this is on management and just stupid already! Put him on the DL we have enough offense to get by most days! Get him right and we can options to the line up as well! EE needs rest at his DH spot as he seem banged up too ! We are not gonna win the Division in May ! Is this being prolonged as and only because they are waiting for Reyes to return to the line up before they do?
